what does the control panel look like without the monkeyball stick in the way ? The metal plate attached to the stick needs to be removed to mount to Alberto repros. From what little I can see the CP doesn't look like an Alberto.

Yes and no. A publicly available CV1000 makes no difference to me personally. I am fortunate enough to have the actual PCBs of the games I enjoy playing. And it's not as if one locked thread would keep a project from making progress as long as the people working on it remain interested. If...
