Recently, I purchased a mk2 cab that was repurposed to play sega and namco games and the jamma harness had been sliced with these connectors all over. The one in the photo is for the monitor chassis and I am trying to add a second set of wires in the connector so I can output game to lcd using...
SOLVED!
A 5amp fuse that was for the ac line was blown. Replaced it and got stable power to jamma and everything worked! I don’t even need to power the naomi with atx psu.
Luckily the i/o is ok. I moved the Naomi to another cab running cps2 and works perfectly.
I am going to go ahead and gut the bad cab and re wire everything with new parts.
You might be right about the switching psu...I tested (+5) and (+12) terminals on the psu and they were way above that. (+5) was showing little above (+6) and (+12) was showing in the (+16)
I was not able to get a reading on the jamma edge tho. Going to try again later by pulling the harness...
