I have a dimm on 1.02 and a net dimm that is giving me trouble on 4.02. Could I just swap the 4.02 flash chip from the net dimm onto the dimm board or do I need to get to 3.17 first?

Got my new 512mb stick. Dimm test still shows bad result. Same error 31 as expected. The dimm test fails around 40% when checking the slot. Same as the old stick. I also got some replacement buffer chips. Seems like they are a common point of failure so I might just go ahead and replace it...

I think it would be cool use a virtua stick enclosure and make a virtua banana. This is a quick and dirty mockup I made when I was bored. This is a huge thread to sift through but if these bananas are for sale I'd for sure buy one and give this a go.

It's looking like you're right. I only have a 128mb dimm available to me right now but I swapped it into the netdimm and I was able to play virtua tennis (a rather small game heh). I bought a new 512mb stick on ebay so we'll see how that works out. Hopefully it isn't a problem with addressing...

I actually have two zero keys so I swapped in the other one and I still have the same problem so it seems to be less likely to be that. If it was the PIC would that cause the DIMM test to fail?

That's not a bad idea. Did they mount easily to the adapter pcb? I think the ports on an actual saturn are two in one molded piece so I assumed the multitap would be the same.

Anyone know of a good source of the extension cable? Seems like all of the ones available now are much lower quality. I bought 3 from different sources and they're all the same. The controller plug is very loose and basically falls right out, there is no grip. I had one that I bought 2 years ago...
