Aero City PM-1736 monitor showing wavy patterns and jitter – normal or issue?

This one is indeed from that batch, I bought it 15 (!?) years ago when they first made their way to the Netherlands, and it's fitted with a 240V transformer. Looks like breaking the contact between the monitor frame and the cab like @nem suggested already did the trick though. Or would you still...

Aero City PM-1736 monitor showing wavy patterns and jitter – normal or issue?

That seemed to do the trick, image looks great now! Seems like there's still a slight jitter when I start it up but it goes away after a minute or so. The interference is completely gone Appreciate the suggestion, am afraid that won't work as the frame of the monitor is also pushing against the...

Aero City PM-1736 monitor showing wavy patterns and jitter – normal or issue?

Oh interesting, I think I have them for the bottom two mounting screws but none for the top two. You mean these grey ones right? Missing on top:

Aero City PM-1736 monitor showing wavy patterns and jitter – normal or issue?

Appreciate all the insights everyone. So looks like it's interference related to grounding. The odd thing is however, whenever I take the tube out of the cab and connect it up again it seems to run great without the wavy pattern (keeping the same cables/connections). Anyone have ideas what...

Aero City PM-1736 monitor showing wavy patterns and jitter – normal or issue?

My bad, shouldn't have clipped it so short. It's more the wavy pattern in the first video than the second vid that concerned me though. I'm not overly worried about it, I'm just surprised by how much better my Blast City looks and wondered if it was maybe due to user error on my configuration...

Aero City PM-1736 monitor showing wavy patterns and jitter – normal or issue?

I’m looking for a bit of advice from people more experienced with CRT monitors. For some background: I have a Sega Aero City cabinet with a Sanwa PM-1736 chassis. The chassis had a bunch of issues, so I sent it to Sharp Image Repair in Las Vegas to get it serviced. It took me a while to get...

    Rhythm Tengoku Panel

That sounds hopeful! Do you happen to remember what you replaced them with? Looks like they are just T10/194/168 automotive wedge fit bulbs, right?

    Rhythm Tengoku Panel

Oh that would make sense, thanks! Looks like the lights inside the buttons are rated at 3W each, so when they all power on that's 42W. Going to see if it stops happening when I power the naomi from a separate PSU. If that's the culprit I'll see if I can swap them over to LED

    Rhythm Tengoku Panel

I had my setup up and running for awhile, but today I both couldn't get my Rhythm Tengoku cartridge to boot up (which is a separate issuer) and over netboot I'm having a different problem: At certain moments in the game my board power cycles and reboots. It happens in particular when I'm trying...

    Name that connector: the thread

Anyone know what this connector on a gundam stick is? I was just talking to @Sp33dFr34k about it, we initially thought JST VL but there doesn’t seem to exist a 3x3 version of that connector. Pitch seems to be ~6.2mm.

    Monkey Ball Panel Reproduction

Looks stunning! Are you sharing the files for this one too @nnap? I've almost got my own panel together, I have a panel from @alberto1225, gundam stick, @plasticfactory restrictor disc and purchased all the connectors to crimp my harness. Just need a banana still, was going to print your old...

    Rhythm Tengoku Panel

Ok, thanks, appreciate the pic! And you then have these wires running to a new AMP U-P connector that you only plug-in when you have the Tengoku panel connected, right? I believe I can also spot an AMP connector in your harness pic? Time to buy some crimping equipment I think
