    Naomi Mobo RAM error: IC9. Send to Ken or something else I can do?

    There is a thread on here somewhere about the infamous IC9 hang. Long story short, unless the diagnostics show IC9 as an error, a hang on it doesn't necessarily mean IC9 is bad. It can be another RAM chip failure and still cause IC9 to hang. It is quite a frustratingly poor self test system.

    "Hang" on IC9 doesn't mean IC9 is bad. It could be another RAM like IC116 and IC118 If it's a Naomi 2, put in a Naomi 1 game a run the test. That will test all the N1 RAMs, it could be one of them.
