here you have some close up on what i've done, but dont forget the recently scanned official schematics (system 11 only not the CPU board)
https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/namco-system-11-schematics.28836/
note: the cpu board i have is GP-13 there might be some differences but the...
surface mount desoldering is easy but those tiny traces are easy to lift too, one of the traces was gone while i desoldered the flashes :D hh, enjoy your game
oh yes now i remember here is the link
https://archive.org/details/EDGE.N021.1995.06/page/n67/mode/2up
and also take a look at how WE on all flashes are connected to a R/W signal
this corroborates with what namco was saying about the ability of changing code one hour before releasing the game
i remember reading in an article that dates back to the launch of namco system 11 (just before the launch of playstation 1) namco was bragging about the ability of loading the game code quickly onto the motherboard and how that would make life easier for them as developpers. it was on...
yes you are right, for the top board (CPU board) i used a SCPH-9000 service manual to help me with different pinout
but for the bottom board which is a typical namco board many of the custom chips are unknown, so for me its a matter of guess work
plus am no engineer, i wonder if there is...

when i dumped one of the flashes i says Sega ST-V die hard see the pics, is this a multi-cartridge or what exactly ?!
thx rtw
the funny part is that i bought this pcb for 5$ as it was trashed
cpu pins were missing, all cpu board caps were torn apart nothing come up when fired up
i started probing around i got an XGECU programmer to try and read the flash ics as i suspected a missing bios in 2J, 2L
i was...
here are the checksums when i run mame from command line (pic 1)
the setup screen (pic 2) shows same as you tes2.verD
below are the two roms 2J, 2L that are different as i dumped them
2F i cannot check it in romident (give it a try) which for some reasons gives a server error 500 (!!!) BUT it...
