Yeah was thinking that myself, even though its very clearly v.2. But just to test it anyway, I used a v1 rom anyway. Same result. I took out rom 6, and as you'd expect those same few sound effects are totally absent. Rom was blanked and tested blank. Programmed the rom and verified it each...

I was thinking that's so very similar it must be the problem. Checked and its the right type, 27c160. Took it off and reburned the info on again just in case there was a problem, but glitch is still there! It's such a small thing. After checking a few more games, sound is glitched when....tonma...

Have a little problem, pretty sure it's new one as opposed to always have been there, but I can't be 100%. There is an annoying little sound glitch on all games. For example on the intro screen of rtype two, each letter burns in, then the numeral II, then there's a bass type sound. That bass...

A favourite shoot em up of mine but not that well known. Has a good sprinkling of little twists throughout, like the speed tunnels in level 2, and the zero gravity level (where if you push up, your ship keeps going up until you change direction and so forth, have to constantly move). Funky...

I'm not entirely sure of the value of this pcb but I do know it's pretty up there in terms of rarity. Jamma standard, twin joystick control, vertical orientation. Good condition, bit of light dust, full working. The worst thing to note is that there is a bunch of solder on the edge connector...
