I tried Unibios JP today and it didn't really change anything (still testing at 5V), in fact I had the weirdest issue yet when last level music tried to play after killing the first stage boss in Metal Slug :P so unibios is probably a false lead. I have the exact same versions.

Slightly off topic but what are you using for the part that plugs into the sockets, can you buy "chip legs" for something like that somewhere? Or are these just regular pin headers (I would think these are slightly too big to plug into usual sockets though?)
