Axun Workshop - JVS / JAMMA Control-Box(CBOX) SuperGun

Likely because of the Taito F3 + OSSC combination that needs both hardware and software updates to the OSSC itself due to the F3's unusual all even field order (and some other quirks?). More info: http://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?title=OSSC_AV3_use_AV1_RGB_mod...

Volunteers Needed! - New JAMMA Kit for Vewlix (and more!) - Universal JAMMA Interface

In an ideal world, this box will be plug-and-play with the Taito F3 + OSSC combo (or certain other problem PCB / capture card / monitor combos), which, pretty sure, won't work without further sync processing. Both @RGB and @invzim seem to have this figured out in the latest reversions of the HAS...

Volunteers Needed! - New JAMMA Kit for Vewlix (and more!) - Universal JAMMA Interface

Nice. Keep in mind that PC PSUs with the classic ATX 20-pin motherboard connector are rapidly vanishing in favor of 24-pin. Those old split clip-together 20+4 motherboard connectors you used to see have largely disappeared in favor of a one-piece 24-pin that needs an extra adapter for 20-pin...

    An improved JVS-PAC (JVS-PAC 2)

Also try using a USB 2.0 connection instead of a USB 3.0 connection. There's some funky USB chipsets out there. If it isn't a Fresco Logic, Intel, or Renesas chipset you may run into issues. AMD's and ASMedia's latest USB chipsets are good, but anything pre UBS 3.0 Gen 2 is known to have issues.

    DB15 to JVS adapter

I can see some demand for this, but not much given the relative lack of modern DB15 sticks. What I do see getting a lot of demand, however, would be a direct USB-to-JVS dongle/board. Plug in your modern gamepad/fightstick into the dongle and the other end into JVS. I'd imagine @Raph_friend's...

    Blast City Cleanup/Restore - Stringbean

If you want some inspiration and discussion of things like media blasting, plating, clear coating the plating, etc: https://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=41481 Powder coating is your friend. The car guys call rust "cancer" for a reason.

SEGA JVS Console I/O design proposal/interest check.

How's the vertical space on these Sega cabs? How about taking the concept of the Vewlix Console I/O and add a 3rd layer on top that is the original JVS IO? That way you'd have from top to bottom the JVS -> Brook board -> new adapter where the Brook boards plug into the adapter on the bottom and...

    Pre-Order For Mini Cute Production

Just now catching this thread... So if this ends up being a regular run thing, has there been consideration to an all white model outside of the original yellow/green/pink?

    Blast City Cleanup/Restore - Stringbean

From the photos, it looks like the bright and dull nickel plating survived the acid, but the yellow zinc pieces didn't? You'll need to re-plate them (only the yellow zinc pieces?) to have them both look original and keep them from rusting badly, especially if you're in a humid environment. You...

Volunteers Needed! - New JAMMA Kit for Vewlix (and more!) - Universal JAMMA Interface

Would it be possible to combine Sega/Taito/Namco control panel connectors all on the same input bridge card? Think 3x input connectors with a single output on a bridge board. Visually looking at the mechanical packaging of the JVS IO boards in the Vewlix (Taito K91X1097B, K91X1097C, K91X1147A...

Volunteers Needed! - New JAMMA Kit for Vewlix (and more!) - Universal JAMMA Interface

I think the secondary video out is pointless given the device's intended use case. Do a single video out over a DE-15 VGA connector and call it good. The JVS spec calls for VGA-style RGBHV over DE-15 and effectively every desirable scaler out there can take DE-15 directly or via a BNC breakout...

FS GS Containers: New listings, Vewlix DIA, PRas 3, Rhythm, etc.

@Cereth You mentioned in passing in the Chrono Regalia cabinet unwrap video that there was a tech in Japan who did a video of a complete conversion on a P-ras 3. Do you have a link to that video?

    The Taito F3 Sync

Some related details that may be interesting: http://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?title=OSSC_AV3_use_AV1_RGB_mod https://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?p=1429842#p1429842 The PC Engine / TG16 and Sega Master System also have funky, rough sync issues and a fix that seems to work is doing a...

FS GS Containers: New listings, Vewlix DIA, PRas 3, Rhythm, etc.

I'm potentially up for 2x Sega P-Ras 3 cabs. I do have some questions: - Just how stripped are these coming in? I/O boards and complete harnesses at least? - I assume these are JVS-only with no OEM JAMMA kits available? Completely proprietary? - What's the situation with parts, documentation...
