I think I'm going to try the spdif next and see what I get, the original cab is hooked up with three stereo jack's to RCA and yet still seems to be outputting 6 channels regardless of what Windows thinks?

managed to get this resolved in the end, if anyone needs to get the original bg4 running in an arcade cab pm me. Everything including linked play works as it should apart from the issue i can only get 2 channel audio ;(

So it seems the original cabs are only set to stereo as well ?

this has crossed my mind as well...... The problem i have is i want to move away from this old hardware eventually and buy new kit to go in which obviously is going to struggle with xp drivers etc

Pretty sure that is the same board in the cab, it's inputs are hooked in via 3 stereo jacks from the pc to the thr rca inputs on that amp board.

ok so chase hq pretty much boots, been trying various bg4t versions i can find and they seem to crash with a similar error. Has anyone managed to get either of these running on original arcade hardware?

i've also been messing around with the working side as well after cloning the drive. i took a copy of the decrypted game files from drive after changing the shell and even those give me exactly the same error when i try to run game.exe. feel im missing something simple just cant seem to find what
