For me it's mostly the latter half of games, but the glitches are just messed up text and vertical lines in the sprites. Roughly 40% of games are affected.
I installed the mod and the picture is cleared up a bit, but the issues still remain unfortunately. I'll give the CPU swap a try before calling it a day.
Thanks for the clarification. The revision I have can be seen in the attached images, doesn't look like pin 30 and 31 are connected, I guess I'll bridge them?
I've just ordered one of these as well as the Toshiba version. I'll install a socket on the PCB to swap between them and note any changes. Worst case scenario my AES gets fried.
Thanks, will note this. It seems like 50% or more of games on my Vortex cart display issues similar to what you describe. For example all the Metal slugs and Final Fights work fine, but Pulstar, Samurai Showdown, Windjammers show the initial Neo geo logo as glitchy, text garbled and some ingame...
I'm running it through a Retrotink 4K, previously a Retrotink 5X. I'll try messing with the settings and see if I can get it to sync better. I've also ordered a new RGB cable and see if that helps. It's just odd that it was working perfectly about a year ago,
