Has anyone tried booting their 4.02 Dimm board with the GD Rom drive using a zero pic chip and not the original GD Rom pic chip?
That’s one thing I can think of that’s worth a shot. Just maybe the Firmware is expecting a zero pic (required to boot data from a CF card) and not an original pic...
Ok, so this became a challenge of irritation more than anything. I swapped out IC 42 from a Virtua Tennis cart to the ZR cart and that made no difference.
I then soldered the IC 42 chip taken from the ZR cart on to the VT cart to keep that complete and to see what would happen to that. The VT...
I bought this (supposedly) working off another forum. When it arrived it had a bad connector, with cracked plastic and bent pins which I replaced. My seller said he hadn’t tested it before sending it to me.
I then ruled out IC22 after buying another working cart. I then replaced all the SMD 245...
I have a Zombie Revenge cart and it consistently delivers error 01 and the following on the cart test.
Assuming it’s not the security chip and IC20 and IC21 are bad. Although I am confused it can’t recognise the IC type for any.
Is the security chip the same on each cart irrespective of the ID number on the top of the chip or are they cart specific?
I’m betting it’s specific (because security related) which practically renders the cart uneconomical to repair because you basically need the same cart to fix it.
Need one of these please, would be happy to buy an original chip (and the GD Rom, if part of a pair)-the number ID is 253-5508-0314.
I can burn my own pic chips but no idea where I would get the data from.
After following the above pinouts, I made the adapter to connect the ‘Blast City control panel’ to the Blast City AMP connectors and I am now in business.
I can only think that these were made with spare bits from previous older panels and a Blast City overlay stuck on top of it.
Thanks for...
After zooming in on your harness for the Blast City I/O to JVS I/O and followed the wire colours I came up with this. Hopefully it’s going to be right.
Alas, no. Input test does show that buttons are working A to H no response on the panel and when there is a response it’s not with the...
This is great info. What type of panels were you using? I have the panel for the Blast City. Looking at what you have provided above, I am assuming I won’t need an adapter to connect this panel to the Blast City Amp connectors (it should just be wired for the Blast City, it wouldn’t make sense...
I will need an image and pinout of the things you’re connecting to. The analog control doesn’t work great without the op amp (repro op amps are available).
