Those definitely need a clean, that could be the cause of your problems. You don’t really need a fibre glass pen, but it’s the best thing I use. I have used erasers, nail files, fine sand paper, etc. you just need something slightly abrasive that will remove the dirt and not scratch the plastic...

Have you cleaned the edge connector (preferably and gently with a fibre glass pen)? I’ve had image problems due to that before - assuming the jamma harness is good with other PCBs. Are those ‘capacitors’ Mylar types? They usually underperform but can’t tell without a photo.

I’m not tech orientated, just looking and hoping something will get a 4.02 version Dimm board to load GD ROMs. Does firmware 4.03 change anything?

Has anyone tried booting their 4.02 Dimm board with the GD Rom drive using a zero pic chip and not the original GD Rom pic chip? That’s one thing I can think of that’s worth a shot. Just maybe the Firmware is expecting a zero pic (required to boot data from a CF card) and not an original pic...

I have a Zombie Revenge cart and it consistently delivers error 01 and the following on the cart test. Assuming it’s not the security chip and IC20 and IC21 are bad. Although I am confused it can’t recognise the IC type for any.

Is the security chip the same on each cart irrespective of the ID number on the top of the chip or are they cart specific? I’m betting it’s specific (because security related) which practically renders the cart uneconomical to repair because you basically need the same cart to fix it.
