Ah never saw this thread, I had a similar issue previous where that cheap had taken a bump by a pcb standoff when stacked on top. I recall googling the chip part number and seeing it was a scsi controller so reflowed it and sorted.
Perhaps a symptom of the chip failing internally? High internal resistance generating heat or perhaps internally shorting drawing too much current also resulting in heat?
No experience with the Mega CD1 i'm afraid but I do recall a similar experience with the PS2 fat disc tray. There was some kind of alignment issue where the laser sled going up/down was out of sync with the drawer going in and out.
If acrylic have someone laser cut the holes? Design the layout in CAD and create a DXF file, pass that on to a fab shop and they should be able to make it for you.
I'm at work so I haven't downloaded this to take a look
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3505166/files
includes the Fusion CAD file as well which is nice. Not sure what is meant by this in the description "A neogeo cartridge model to print keychains." , looking at the drawing it seems to be...
As per title chasing a control panel / instrument cluster for a super hang on deluxe. I don't expect to find anything in mint condition, cracked/damaged plastic is expected.
Cheers, Lee
@nem had a writeup here about some X3 issues with dodgy ram

Can you clear the CMOS and try booting? although I do recall reading something about how these store a key or something which is wiped if...
Yeah this worked, booted with a multi key pic in place of the ABC key, obviously the legit game didn't boot but once I got into the lindbergh generic test menu I was able to change it and reboot with the ABC key in.
Yeah it's weird the GP60NB50 has previously been confirmed as working and the...
So I just did a quick measure and the 'active area' on a Toshiba PFX comes in at around approximately 412 x 542 allow for a bit of error as its set back from the glass but the physical size of the sharp panel is almost the same as the active area on the PFX.
Sharp Outline Size 408(W)x536(H)...
Yeah possibly, I just found it weird how I couldn't find any other entry relating to DB or the GPIO number. I'll have to wire this up using jumpers and try swapping the leads/updating the code and see if it works.
I haven't had a chance to look into LVDS controller board yet. Says on panel look these are for gaming, I wonder who they are making them for ..... and what board they are using. I find the quality of the board/firmware is almost as important as the panel, my acrooda 21" LCD (which uses an LG...
Does anyone have any idea how to change the databus pinout in the bluescsi source?
I want to change the DB pinout on the STM32 to align better with something i'm trying and in the source file it seems all those pins are commented out?
I have no experience with STM32 stuff only arduino, I would...
Cheers Nem, I did see that and was wondering if it would even boot with a multi key while using a legit install, ordered some PICs so i'll give it a go.
So tried again and I can't get it to boot off this LG GP60NB50 it just won't pick it up, not sure if this is a firmware issue as mine was manufactured in Feb this year and the firmware version is different to what's on the website (dated 2022).
I can confirm the disc is good as it will boot off...
