Having gone through a plethora of issues myself a short while ago with a pre-installed multi from eBay (and by looking at the pictures of your board) I am inclined to suggest you should get someone who knows what they're doing to remove that glue, clean the board, and do the soldering again. I...
UPDATE 3
It's fixed!
I'm not sure if it was (1) removal of the 8 ROM Chips between Banks 13-20 or (2) a Deep Clean of the B-board with Contact Cleaner, but all decrypted games are working perfectly.
Thanks to each and everyone who chimed in with suggestions :)
This is truly a great...
I didn't install the kit, but oddly the unit was working fine for the most part. It's bizarre the expert in question didn't remove them, and my limited knowledge suggests this interferes with the data lines passing through.
Anyway, I have given the B-board a deep blast with contact cleaner and...
I have removed all 8 chips and will give the entire board a good clean this afternoon. I should have built the consolised CPS2 and installed the DSM Kit myself.
Sorry, I should have said it was a Rev.2 DSM.
Do you think I should remove those ROMS? I see Scarlet Sprites' video on Youtube has them removed on a Rev.1 DSM and Rev.4 CPS combo.

Thanks, but the large board doesn't plug into those sockets, only the 2 interface adapters right above them. I have default ROM chips in 13-20 on the Rev.4 - do they need to be removed? Confused?!
UPDATE 2:
@Darksoft @Mitsurugi-w
I managed to clear the keys by shorting the EXC5 points from underneath the board. I have managed to boot the OLD decrypted ROM set (AVALAUNCH ones still do not work and show a key writing error) and all games are working.
Here comes a new challenge...
Upon...
It seems to be the conclusion.
Any idea which donor game would likely to have the ideal B-Board revision? Hyper SF2 is likely the safest bet for compatibility, however it's too rare to cannibalise IMHO.
Thanks for your advice. I was always dubious about having a Rev.4 board for this reason.
This is where the key writing wires were from/to in the previous install/kit:
Thanks. Yes, the previous install had the key writing wires, but I don't play at tournament level to justify every byte of information needing to be pitch perfect and, besides, Team Avalaunch have done some amazing work on the decrypted games.
UPDATE:
I tried the EXC5 short method after...
