    Moonwalker with white stripes.

I tested and replaced all mask roms, and replaced the 68k to be sure this is not a suicide problem, but It had no difference. I piggibacked the rams not tested in the service menu, and nothing, no difference. I can remove and test the rams, but I accept any feedback first.

    Mvs conversion with sound problems.

    Hi, I'm converting a bootleg Puzzle Bubble in a King of the Monsters. The 2 pcbs are 42G-1 and I used the mvs-scans as template. I used the roms following the basic principle, M1 - 27c010 | S1 27c301 or non jedec 27c1000 or 27c1001... | 27c400 for P1 and 27c1024 for P2 | 27c800 for C-Roms |...

CPS2 Solid color screen on SFZ3 Help!

The roms and shell are a Japanese version (green shell / J roms). I "misspelled" the game in the first post, the game is a SFZ "Street Fighter Zero" with all roms from the 950727 version. The board have the original mask roms (?) and the program roms check ok compared with the J 950727 version...

CPS2 Solid color screen on SFZ3 Help!

I didn't know that. If starts reading at 3, and there is no output with the suicide diagnostic on, the code is not been loaded, right? I will check if the 27c4096 is getting some movement on address, data and /ce /oe.

CPS2 Solid color screen on SFZ3 Help!

Hi! I was give on a trade a SFZ3 without battery or infinikey, the board have original roms and boots a solid colour screen (blue-grey, sometimes pink). Streetfighter 2 repair...

With so many versions and configurations, it's always tricky to find the right one. Other option is remove the rom near the cpu (AS-08), read as 27c512, and search using romident, and then you will have the releases with that rom.

OK, close enough. They are only a few candidates. In the mame section of the driver's for the sf2 https://github.com/mamedev/mame/blob/master/src/mame/drivers/cps1.cpp search for a version with the same layout, 4 cpu roms, 8 gfx roms, 2 sound roms (1 cpu + 1 samples) and 1 unknown (user1).

The 2 right sockets have pin 22 (chip enable) tied to ls139 that only enables the eprom when needed. It have pin 24 (output enable) tied to the output enable ot the 42 pin. They have pins 30 and 31 tied to addresses, and with the rest of the datalines and addresses I´m convinced the 2 right...

Sorry for the length and grammar of the post ... :P Ok, First, check in continuity mode if VCC is VCC and if GND is GND, in some boards the resistance is so low beetwen GND and 5v the multimeter gives beep beetwen the 2. Ex. pin 31 and 12 on the 42 pin shoud be GND and you have VCC on 31. In...

And removing a female pin header on a bootleg is a pain in the neck, sometimes the pins are too tight and can broke traces or vias when removed. The easy way will be confirm the size of roms needed in the daughter board, and try some releases, in the most part the roms are very similar, and in...
