Any Aussies have a Dreamcast console sitting around they would like to sell?
Looking for something to refurb so as long as it boots, not worried if it has a damaged/yellowed shell or otherwise looks ugly. Don’t need a working GD-ROM unit
Would prefer a PAL unit if possible
Hi, thank you for your interest in the project! Apologies I haven’t posted a more recent update. A scratch build 4 slot will be an awesome build
Yes I have fixed it - there was a minor issue where I forgot a trace for the ground loop. I found it and reworked the boards I have to confirm the fix...
What power supply is being used? A lot of CMVS units use not great power bricks that may not be providing enough current - or the regulator isn’t keeping it at close enough to 5v
I would assume the multi cart will be more sensitive to bad power than an original cart since it is bringing down...
If you have another B board you can use for the multi that would be the way to go. That board needs to be sent to someone who can check it over and repair it
The battery damage isn’t bad and I think it will be salvageable.
Looking at it briefly
- D1 is missing
- D5 is corroded and very...
I think it will snap into the plastic ring, you don’t want to use glue because that will modify the weight/balance of the spindle
At least if you buy from the Aliexpress seller you get 5 attempts at making it work
You can get them for a PS1 and they should still fit. Not sure if you’re affected by the tariffs yet but these still shouldn’t be too bad

The latest revision v1.01 boards arrived today and I put one together ready to install in its new home in my 4 slot cab
I reworked the code to use only the bottom 4 connections and had some fun with the test LED colours
Next step: installing in the cab
I have recently been working on a project and have got to a stage where I can release it

For those of you who have LAI MVS lowboys or MV4-U29 cabs without the backlit mini marquees this is for you

This is now released! PCB design files and Gerbers can be downloaded from GitHub - all functions except manual switching have been tested (waiting on boards with the switch to be able to test that functionality and will confirm once done)
Several people have requested the ability to run a panel in a cab where there may only be a single slot board due to failure of the 2/4/6 slot board. I have added 2 options for this
Attract Mode
Marquees will cycle through automatically on a 1 second delay
Manual Mode
Marquees can be changed...
