Sega CD Model 2 - metal ring on spindle

I think it will snap into the plastic ring, you don’t want to use glue because that will modify the weight/balance of the spindle At least if you buy from the Aliexpress seller you get 5 attempts at making it work

Sega CD Model 2 - metal ring on spindle

I was thinking you could just remove the metal ring that he needs from the PS1 spindle and put it on the Sega CD spindle instead

Sega CD Model 2 - metal ring on spindle

You can get them for a PS1 and they should still fit. Not sure if you’re affected by the tariffs yet but these still shouldn’t be too bad https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPlaT0R

CV1000D Multi! NOT A BOOT CHAT THREAD - Formerly: A huge project is approaching....

Yeah it’s not a bootleg where they use compatible parts to reproduce custom hardware like a traditional bootleg From what I’ve seen the PCBs on the reproductions are very well made and at least on par with original too

CV1000D Multi! NOT A BOOT CHAT THREAD - Formerly: A huge project is approaching....

No it will work with legit PCBs. But due to the cost of originals, the risk of potential damage and the fact a bootleg exists so an original doesn’t need to be sacrificed the bootleg is recommended

[Resolved - UniBIOS Bug] 4-Slot MVS Failure to Boot

I recently repaired a 4 slot and installed a UniBIOS 4.0 and got the exact same error on boot I replaced the UniBIOS IC and it worked after that and thought it might have been dirty pins causing bad contact. Good to know this is a known issue on multi slot boards. I’ll send the owner a 3.2
