What's new
Just like the cps2 the battery is not required right?

Also pretty much the restoration is just reconnecting pins 43, 45 and 46 to GD or also 47?

So just got this from sheep_nova, should be good right?

Also as it has the battery removed and the jumper wire, can I test it on a SF2CE and will it act like a 92631C-6 (minus the kick connector of course)

Wasn't shipping on them from China to the US super expensive? When I priced them out on TB, it came to about $29 USD after shipping for one - "coincidentally" the same price shipped on eBay.

i mailed them to AUS, but yea shipping to USA with a trusted tracking is usually expensive. Got to order in bulk lol good thing he has 1000 :p

They are not the same guy and they are both members here on the forum. They are "neighbors" though so they're often reselling PCBs that they're picking up from the same auction houses and the same operators.

SheepNova has acted as reseller for some of Lydz custom PCBs in the past though since he's setup to sell through eBay and take Paypal payments and Lydz is not.

the guess was not hard as they use the same pictures :p :)

I bought lots of stuff from sheep nova before mostly MVS and atomiswave, never disappointed BTW, so when I saw the post for the C boards I figured it was unusual for SN to sell those, now all makes sense.

So DJsheep what happened to your webpage? I remember reading the story behind the name sheepnova and thought I could buy directly from you there but it never happened.

I've read the OP like 5 times. I have a Factory CPS-DASH SF2:CE with a B-21 C board, no battery. As I understand this thread, it will work with the multi, but only with patched ROMs. Is that correct? Does it require modification?

based on the information we know so far. that is correct

theoretically no modification is required unless you want to modify the C-board to run un-patched ROMs.

quick question and I'm sorry if it has been asked before but is the 12Mhz 89626A-4 board compatible with the multi board?

Yes! Both 10 and 12Mhz boards are compatible, just make sure that the Audio section in the A Board is populated. If the board comes from a CPS1.5 Board it won't be populated as it uses Qsound.

Where does Street Fighter World Warrior fall in this list?
based on what we know, the only thing that matters is the C-Board, Any A-Board should work and the B-Board is irrelevant as it wont be used.
World-Warrior does not have the correct C-board.
so as long as i have the correctcps1 c board
and original cps1 a board
im good and ready for ths cps1 multi?

If your board is de-suicided though, you'll likely have to de-de-suicide (eg: undo the desuicide mod) it as the mod will prevent new keys from being written to the B-21.
I just wanted to comment that I recently de-de-suicided two 92641C-1 C-Boards

normally the B-21 chip has 3 pins in a row tied to ground on this chip, the de-suicide mod cuts the traces to two of these pins and ties them to +5V. with the 3rd pin still tied to ground.

to de-de-suicide I simply removed the wire, then soldered the 3 pins together; such that the two pins with the cut traces were now using the 3rd pin's connection to ground.

After doing this I was able to install a fresh battery, revive the keys and use the board as it was originally intended.
