Hello

I will finish soon my NNC restoration, but I need some help for CRT cover:
- how to remove the lower part without break the little brackets on the back?
- what's exact original color ref? or whatt's best black for paint (brillant,...)?
- could you advise me a best couple of audio speaker perfect fit and perfect sound?

I think when I restored my NNC I cleaned the part as a whole, don’t remember exactly if I was able to take it out.

for speakers just go to any local car audio shop and get some fitting ones.
I got speakers from Hertz, and they sound great!

Yeah, I think I tried once and I couldn't get it off. It snaps in to place IIRC.

The speakers are 100mm (4") 8 ohm. It's a very common size. I'm sure you can find a ton of options.

Just make sure they are magnetically shielded so you don't get any image distortions from the speakers.

thx all. So exist so of speker, could you advise me a specific model, like BOSE for example...compatile with SEGA AMP.

I bought 4 inch Pioneer car audio speakers for my NNC when I had it. No shields whatsoever. It did not distort the monitor at all.

Not all speakers has that written on the box. I also bought pioneer ones, that are shielded but does not state that.

It also depends on the strength of the interference. I have seen myself what such speakers can do, so just because you have been lucky doesn't mean it's not a thing ;)

If you are using mostly boards that can output audio via RCA, have you considered using a completely separate integrated stereo amplifier such as the Denon PMA-60 and then output to standard speakers that fit inside the cabinet? I promise it will take a hot creamy dump all over the Sega amp's sound. The amp is small enough to keep inside of your cab, but you'll have to run the power cord outside of it. If you are using boards that can't output audio via RCA though then better to stick with a regular setup. You requested perfect sound though, so it an option worth looking into if you got around 500 euro to throw down on the amp.

I use my cab with S16, CPS1, MVS with steero, CPS2 etc....so use other amp could bee hard, the best compromise IMO use standard SEGA amp and better speaker.

I’m not sure if you have one in your city, but I recommend going down to a car audio center. Explain to them what you are installing these speakers into, and they should be able to recommend something that is shielded. I don’t know how easy Amazon returns are in France (easy in US, hard in Japan), so it would suck to find out you dropped 50-70 euro on something that you can’t use.

Tweeter is your call, but I’m pretty sure that Sega amp is not designed for detailed highs (what would be the point in a noisy ass arcade) so it might be in vain and exaggerate unwanted noise instead.
