For Sale
I would offer USA TG16 games but if shipping isn't an option that's a problem because I live on the other side of the country. If you're open to negotiating shipping for me, send me a PM and we can discuss further.

Beautiful monitors! Hope somebody is able to make the drive and pick them up.

Don't know if this is still up-to-date, but I have sent You a pm.

Did you ever sell the NEC monitor? I've been debating selling mine, but having trouble letting it go lol. It's just so hard to fine a 29" BVM of such high quality like that.

I didn’t put much effort.. I list it locally on Craigslist once and $2300 was the highest offer for the NEC and I rejected the offer.. here on the forum $800 was the max offer., I don’t know what they go for now..

I don’t know what the price for these things are either, maybe 2500 is right? If you decide you aren’t using it @Aurich, I’ll take it off your hands. If and when you want it back I’ll sell it back to you for same price.

I’m tempted to get a shipping quote, but I’m hoping a large rgb crt pops up in my neighborhood one day lol

I'll be honest I don't think I could stand trying to ship this thing. It's just such a beast, and I'd be too worried about it not surviving the process. When I bought it the seller actually offered my the flight case for it, and I had to turn them down because I couldn't even fit the dang thing in the vehicle I was in. Can't remember if it was my wife's Mazda MX5 or something else, but compact SUV/crossover and it wasn't happening. I'd let it go to a forum member for a good price, but I feel like it's gotta be pickup only. Test it, make sure you're happy, get it home safe.

This isn't my sale thread though, so don't want to hijack things.

I'll say this though: The 29" NEC BVMs (mine is an Xtra, not a Plus, I forget the difference) are basically the ultimate retro gaming monitors. Just ridiculous picture quality, huge screen, tons of high quality inputs. But I'm not really the target market, which is why I haven't used mine enough. I'm an arcade dude. My games are on cabs. Even though I have all these old consoles hooked up the NEC, on a nice SCART switcher, and they look amazing, I simply don't spend any time with them.

I feel the same about shipping..CRTs are mandatory local pick up, tested etc.. there are a lot of things that can go wrong during shipping. I scare the crap out of potential buyers when they mention shipping and I spell things out for them regarding shipping.

Definitely be scared. I have had a dude roll a box containing a PVM loosely wrapped in bubble wrap in a box down a huge hill to my house. I was gunna get mad at the guy but at that point I just lost hope. Guess it was too heavy for him and he didn’t think to go back and get his trolley.

The tested part is really important when selling any CRT I think. Pictures can be faked, or be out of date. Things definitely can go wrong in shipping even if the seller is utterly honest and take a video moments before packing it up. It's really better for everyone, seller and buyer, to be able to turn it on, see it working, and know that if anything goes funky later that at the time of the sale everyone agreed it was cool.

I sold a pinball to a friend once, and delivered it to him. Got it out of the SUV, put the legs back on, set it up, fired up a game and ... it wasn't working. Took some digging, was a literal loose wire situation, came out when I drove over a bump or from road vibration. No rough shipping, but you know, things happen.

Luckily I was there and fixed it and all was well. But if it had been a normal shipping situation and the buyer didn't know how to fix it? They'd be pissed that I sold them a non-working game even though I played it right before I packed it up for the drive.
