What's new
I'd imagine those resistor networks stolen are for the P3/P4 controls.

There are more packs on the expansion side than there are on the regular side and there are unused pins on the aux connector that Hoops doesn't use. So if you're lucky there are packs for inputs that aren't used at all. You would have to meter what packs lead to which inputs.

I would like to make the game “whole” again, so if anyone has a junk PCB lying around I would buy it! Hit me a PM if you find some in your junk stash.

Am I missing something here? they just look like resistor arrays despite the label of 'IC' which is odd considering the blue ones are labelled 'RA'. Did you take any measurements of the working ones to identify their resistance? a quick google shows plenty of 10 pins arrays but obviously without knowing the value that isn't much help.

you're missing the fact that they're "Data East" branded, which typically means they have a custom, non-standard pinout or internal configuration. there's a good chance that they also use a combination of resistors and capacitors as well.

4 feedthrough resistors, 4 pullup resistors, 4 capacitors to ground.
and 4 reverse protection diodes
no big deal.

you really only need the pullups.

Although I didn't miss that at all, sure it has Data East on the package that is obvious from the picture but it wouldn't be the first time a standard component has custom branding on it. There is nothing but speculation and assumptions being made here.
At the very least i'd open up the old one or be doing some minimal testing rather then the goto solution to buy a junk board to strip parts from, it would take like 10 mins to see what's inside it.

Custom part, look at the link on page 1 for the wolfgangrobel repair blog - he worked out the circuit diagram for it.

I just pulled some from a dead Captain America, will PM.
Yeah ok I totally missed that link and it actually answers what I was saying, interesting to see inside it. So really if you got caught short not an entirely difficult part to reproduce.

Yeah as above, i'll wind my neck in 😬
