What's new
G’day. Have any of you Aussies had experience in purchasing PCBs from Sofia Corp in JP? If so I’d like to know how you found the experience and prices. Paging @djsheep 🙂. I’m looking to buy a Strikers 1945 2/3 or Raiden Fighters 2/Jet PCB and want some alternatives other than eBay.
Highly recommend Sofia/Tops.

Prices are high. But you get good boards and good service.

I even cheaped out a while ago and sent a board to Australia surface mail. Took two months but arrived in box perfect condition.

@Joko3 is another strongly co-signed and solid option for sure if you can find what you want in a brick & mortar store, on YAJ, etc.

His packing and attention to detail really says it all.

Sofia/Tops doesn’t take wants lists. What’s on the site is what’s in stock. http://tops-game.jp

Find what you want. Click “Order” and fill out the form to commit to buying. Or click “Enquiry” to ask question about the item. In 24 hours or less you should have an e-mail back from them with further details, shipping quotes etc. and you’re also able to ask for photos, more info, etc.

If you want multiple items just complete the process for each item or send them through as links in the order comments and note you also want to purchase them.

Thanks kindly for the advice. I’ll check that link out. I was looking at this one which has a vast list but no ordering system. Just instructions to send an email with what you want and they get back to you with a price.

I can order anything you want to come to my house, and then I repack it for international shipping with around double the padding than how it arrived at my house. In addition, if possible, I will also test it so you know what you are getting yourself into when it arrives. A lot of Japanese stores don't take returns, but in the event that something is wrong I will make every effort to at least try. I'm at a solid intermediate level of Japanese so I'm able to annoy them on the phone in addition to email if need be ; )

I can't stress to all Aussies how great a service @Joko3 provides, it's such a small price to pay for peace of mind...

It’s so Japanese(I.e labour intensive). There’s probably 8 people involved in that supply system.

But Mr. T. Orihara San is the end of the chain that we all end up dealing with...

Fellow Australian and New Zealand gamers;
Allow me to introduce Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Arcade - a parts store located in Australia dealing in Sanwa Denshi and Seimitsu Co. items as well as niche fightstick parts.

Website: https://www.CQBArcade.com
Twitter: https://twitter.com/cqb_arcade
Instagram: https://instagram.com/cqb_arcade

Over the years I was regularly faced with lengthy, costly shipping and difficulty locating the parts I wanted. Being wary about knock-off parts also meant there were only a few trusted vendors overseas I was willing to shop with.

Arcade Projects have a robust community of arcade and console gamers here and we genuinely look forward to supplying you all with authentic parts sourced from the Japanese manufacturers.

We have most of the catalogue of push buttons and sticks on hand ready for shipping, including a couple exclusive items such as Sanwa MESH balltops, 40mm pushbuttons and Seimitsu KANJI styled pushbuttons.

Hit me up here or the website for orders or queries and I wish you all the very best in your gaming journey's!
Take care,
xb74.

Likewise. Super exciting news, particularly about seimitsu parts which have to this point been a PITA to get a hold of!

Wow, what a welcome surprise. Your store is really well stocked for opening day. Congratulations @xb74. You must have been putting in some big hours to populate the store.
Thankyou for those comments mate, that means a lot.
Indeed, this was a long time in the planning stages, but we got here :)

I will have new products in the next shipment too, such as the Seimitsu holographic buttons.
Cheers mate.

I'm going to have to work really hard to resist holographic buttons. They'd look terrible in my cab but still.. holograms.

Holograms bring out the card collecting high schooler in me :)
Will post pics of the upcoming products this weekend!
