Outrun 2 SP DX (Lindbergh) Internet Ranking Server (unofficial) www.or2ranking.com

I made an unofficial replacement ranking server for Outrun 2 SP DX Lindbergh. The original sega server no longer exists. It uses the game codes you get at the end of races and you can put your codes in and get your times/scores up on the ranking board.

The leaderboards are empty right now because lacking score submissions but they'll build out when more submissions happen.

Cant post pictures at the moment (board issue?) so i'll have to leave them out but features are

- Add your additional name to submissions
- Add country and flag to submissions
- Add youtube link to your submissions for validation of results
- Results catalogued using segas original protocol
- Leaderboards to show best players for each mode
- Currently only top 100 results are catalogued, but i will add more in the future, probably top 1000 will get catalogued.
- Latest submissions log to easily find your results and see if they got posted OK.
- Detailed info about your run with nice GUI items to show alongside it from the original game.
- Great way to catalog your own games to track your scores.
- Supports all game modes/maps. Outrun 2/SP, outrun mode, time attack, heart attack, 15 course, 15 course time attack.
- Separate leaderboards for all modes, all goals, normal or tuned modes and auto/manual tansmission for a more fair ranking system matching like for like player setups.
- Name/car search to filter ranking boards.

Few other little bits and pieces people can discover. Feel free to share it around, the more scores it gets the better the leader boards will fill out.

For now the submissions are open, if it gets abused it will most likely have to go down to requiring youtube video submission alongside actual game codes to validate results but I've planned for that and you can already provide your proof videos with your submission, so we see how things go.

Just updated the site, it now works fine on mobile, and it's much more mobile friendly. Can't post pictures as the forum is on the fritz, but if you wanted to use it on mobile, it's now working.

I'm going play some on the weekend, the scores on Outurn Mode >> Goal A are quite difficult to beat already.... I find this game changes a lot when you start trying to score high in it.

You can get 50k score by slipstreaming the rival and passing them within a short period after the slipstream, and if you pass cars when you are going fast enough and your speed turns blue you get higher scores. So retaining top speed and slingshotting past as many rivals after slipstream are the key scoring methods. There are a few others that i haven't fully worked out the mechanism for them yet.

The challenge is to follow Ferrari's rivals to reach a speed exceeding 310km/h and then pass them and use slipstream with other cars.
Some turns have yellow arrows, but they can be negotiated at full speed without skidding.
I am going to try Goal A too and others soon.

The cab would give you a specific code to upload your score to their website.

I think cosmic smash also had it that would be cool one too
