Kraken Spinner Pre-Orders

It would be ideal if you offered a red version of the knob, like in arcades, to differentiate player 1 from player 2.

Hi Hursit, i messaged you on discord, but thought id try to catch you here. Im still needing a couple of the microswitch actuation levers. Will the ones for the kraken spinner work with your FW spinners? If so, id really appreciate it if I could buy 2 if them. Thanks and congrats on the release of the kraken!!!!

This is EXACTLY why I kept my box sealed, and sold my FW spinners off, the moment the parts thing fell through.

As of now, the Kraken spinners on pre-order have been shipped, remaining spinners are on website, with no sign of parts being listed anywhere.

I won't be ordering these either, till I can get spinners and a full set of replacement parts in cart at the same time.

I learn from my mistakes....
i will sell the extra parts. Just waiting the clear the pre-orders for now
Please can yo tell me which extra parts are very important. Then i will try to find a way how to add my website

I need them for a pair of your repro spinners that I bought. I gave the pair of your repro button actuators to a friend, his original game was missing them. When I gave them to him, I thought you were making spares for your spinners. I didn't know that I couldn't replace them...lol. I was glad to hear you might be making extras parts for the Kraken spinners. I really appreciate it, take care and talk to you later.

All the parts that will wear out over time, or are fragile.

So All the gears, the shafts, any bushings used, the microswitch with the spoon actuator lever, the plastic actuator that activates the spoon switch, the optical encoder disc, the tension spring, and the actual metal knob to turn the spinner with.

Basically everything, but the metal frame/mounting bracket. The encoder PCB itself, with the opto, really doesn't need to be offered, but the opto itself, isn't a bad idea.

Best way to sell them, if individual parts is too much trouble, would be as a "refresh" kit. That way for the folks that put these into businesses or home arcades with heavy use, they can count on being able to have spares, without having to purchase whole lots of whole spinner units.

The optical encoder disc and the spinner knob, don't need to be in the "refresh kit", but should be available if needed.

@hursit I'm not sure if I missed it anywhere but is there information on how to get your spinner working on MiSTer or as a USB device for use on a PC? I have a pair of your repro FW spinners and I'd like to see if it's possible to make those work outside of OEM arcade use. I see in your video that the Kraken spinner works when connected to your fight stick - is that the only way?

I developed firmware for Kraken spinner which working on Pico.

The first repro spinners have different gears. The number of the teeth is little bit different. Thats why im not sure how they will work with the new firmware.

Great! I'm waiting on two as well; they shipped last week. The tracking hasn't updated, but I really hope to receive them soon... It's hard to be patient :D

My tracking number has said: "USPS Awaiting Item: Shipping Label Created" for almost a week....

Does this compatibility require the use of your fightstick specifically or can it be adapted to other USB hardware? I'd like to get a Kraken spinner but I need to know how this works and I already have a ton of other non-TR fightsticks as it stands, not really looking to add another if I can avoid it.

Your original repro spinners are fantastic and I use them for CPS1 and other real arcade hardware. I'd love a similar solution for a USB interface.

Just to report back: my tracking number updated for the first time almost exactly a week after I received it and the package was near delivery by then. It came the very next day.

The spinner is beautifully made -- and packaged well.

Got my kraken, can’t figure out how to get it apart to remove the plastic film on the acrylic and the plastic bag on the graphics layer. User guide covers the cable connections nicely but doesn’t talk about how to get the spinner top off so you can separate the layers.
How do I do this without destroying the spinner?
