Japanese Game Center Control Panel Artwork Reproductions

That 100 yen mikado sticker is great, would love one of those
Here's the image for it.. I think its sized correctly (75mm x 45mm) you'd have to get someone to print it for you though.

After far too long away from A-P--and this particular project more specifically--I'm officially back with both an update and firm commitment to get these out to the community. Please accept my repeated and sincere apologies for not following through years ago. I love that there's clearly shared interest in these specific pieces of game center history. I want to do what I can to ensure the designs are preserved as accurately as (reasonably) possible--especially as these arcades continue to close far too quickly.

I owe a significant debt of gratitude to a good friend and longtime A-P member for continuing to remind me of the community interest in these. And, even more helpfully, he has offered his broad experience and technical knowledge to assist me with final design adjustments and accurately preparing the files for printing. Definitely grateful for his help and the final delivery of these designs will be much better in light of it.

The current set of designs are as follows: (1) Hey; (2) a-cho; (3) Try Amusement Tower; and (4) Sonic Beam Amusement Center (see image below). I'm also planning to add the additional Bub-based design used on some cabs at Taito Station Osaka Nippombashi (see image below). I'd like to further add the unique deign used on a few of the Blast Cities at Super Potato Akihabara (see image below), but haven't spent long enough digging up clear source images or any pertinent art assets.

Lookout here for upcoming updates and the forthcoming releases.

Cheers!

You absolute legend !

I know what life is like sometimes ,
I’m sure most are in agreement , but if there’s anything I can do, just lettuce snow … 🤙

Just discovered this thread, hope you finish up this project! Would love to get that a-cho strip! I think the actual arcade closed a few years ago, I used to watch their MBAACC streams/VODs all the time back when I was in college.

I sent a DM a while ago even to upload unfinished files , it seems GTA6 may actually come first which is disappointing

A-Cho was such a good place , many a memory and the family mart was just across the road (sorta)

Well, seeing as we're getting close to the GTA6 release without any updates... I thought I'd offer all the ones I made if anyone wants them? I can also re-size based on peoples needs?

Again, I doubt they're as good quality as the ones Bluetear was making, but they are all full print quality & at least its something to tide everyone over! I had a look back over the other images people had suggested and think I've got most of them.. If anyone can assist with that Super Potato Move Strip that'd be great too!

Anyway, let me know and if there's interest & I'll get a folder of everything uploaded and linked.

Cheers

So far i've made these....

Those A-cho movestrips gonna look so good on a pair of NNC's.

Christmas in September.

Thanks to everyone in advance.

Edit: Are movestrips coming in Vewlix size as well as sega standard?

Hi All,

As promised here's the link..

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vm-lnciKyD0VLIL8nmky0NP625UQBTop?usp=sharing

I've resized all the movestrips as per below..
VEWLIX = 665mm x 85mm
EGRET II, 3, & AWSD = 535mm x 85mm
ASTRO, BLAST, VERSUS, NET, & WINDY = 480mm x 70mm
LINDBERGH & NOIR = 685mm x 70mm

Also included this one I just finished that I saw in A-Cho as I thought it was amusing..

A-Cho No Smoking Blast City (480x70).jpg

I've re-done the Blast City marquees in what I believe is the correct size (590mm x 250mm) I had to take an educated guess as I couldn't find a reliable source of the exact size online anywhere so if someone can confirm that'd be great.

I've also included some other bits i've recreated in the Misc folder.

Anyway, i'll keep doing more and adding to this link when they are done, and if anyone has any requests or suggestions for others please let me know and i'll see whether i can remake them.

cheers and hope these come in useful

Made a few Mikado Game Center strips today that i've added to the folder. These are just concepts based off existing artwork, not official move strips. The 2 bottom ones are based off a hand towel you could buy on their website some time ago.

I also went back and amended the 2 Try Amusement Tower Marquee 1 variants and the Move Strips as the character artwork was a little scuffed on them, so if you have already downloaded them you might wanna grab them again.

Also added a Try Towers closed sign and a few more colours of the Hey Strip too.
