Hey everyone,
Following the Killer Instinct and CPS3 cases I posted a while ago, here is the next one in the series: a dedicated case for the Mortal Kombat 4 PCB.
The goal is the same as always: keep the board protected, dust free and easy to grab from the shelf and plug into the cab or supergun, while still looking like something Midway could have shipped.
Design
Feedback is very welcome, especially from other MK4 owners.
Right now I am also printing a few Killer Instinct cases for some friends here on the forum who asked for them, and I will be posting more projects soon.

Design
- Printed in a premium carbon fiber reinforced filament, matte finish, very rigid. This one is purple, but it also looks great in black, red and blue.
- MK4 logo and Midway logo embossed on the top, plus a multicolor printed label on the spine with the dragon logo and Scorpion artwork, so you can spot it on the shelf.
- Hex vent grids on all four corners for passive airflow.
- Magnetic hatch on top right above the CPU. The fan is mounted to the hatch itself, so you lift the hatch and the fan comes with it, giving instant access to the it without opening the case.
- Second magnetic hatch on the side for direct access to the internal connectors and cables, no tools needed.
- Front opening for the JAMMA edge, plus a CPS2 style kick harness connector right above it, so you can use the same kick harness you already have for your Capcom boards.
- Side cutout to reach the reset button without opening the case.
- Removable mounting feet with screw holes, so you can bolt it inside a cabinet or take them off and use rubber feet on a shelf.
- The board slides in on internal rails, very few screws involved.
