    Candy Cab Coin Buttons

TRP just made it into a 3D print. I love the bevel version! I'll have some of these made next week to see what they look like in person: https://www.printables.com/model/320668-candy-cab-coin-slot-button-replacement-faceplate If anyone has a weird or fun design, I'll make that too!

    Candy Cab Coin Buttons

I'm not sure what the rules are about self-promotion here, but the project is 100% free and open source, so I figured it's okay to share. It's a simple design, but one I've never seen before, so I wanted to share it with everyone. It should fit all Candy Cabs, but you'll have to measure to be...

    Negative feedback for YATON

Good suggestion. Are we sure this is the right chassis for the right tube though? At the moment, that chassis is fully recapped, so I don't want to start pulling parts if this could be solved by trading with someone. My apologies for being extra cautious...I just don't want to screw this up...

    Negative feedback for YATON

Thank you so much for all the kind words...and the help! I'm gonna have a pretty busy weekend, but I'll definitely be looking into every solution suggested. LOL and bugging Jose for more help too :) And once again, compared to other people I know, I got off easy. I know at least one person...

    Negative feedback for YATON

I bought an Astro City from Yaton. The deal was $1900 total (including shipping) for one that was in good condition, with a tube that didn't have any burn-in and two six button controls. When it arrived, I saw it had two 4-button controls, so I already knew he got it wrong. I carefully...

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

So, the new caps came in last night. I put the whole thing back the way it was, except I swapped C438 with this: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/panasonic-electronic-components/ECW-HA3C223J/P15425-ND/3088422 ...and there was no picture on the screen. I put the original cap back...

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

The JAMMA H/V board @'mmmonkey suggested just came in. It works, which means the new V cap should be a solid fix...but as expected, the curl is still there. So, that board turned out to be an excellent tool and I'm glad I got it...but I'm also glad we took the time to work on the cap fix...

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

I'm honestly not sure. I think it moved a bit, but not much lower. I'll try the new cap I just posted and see. Also, I've never seen the "curl" before on any CRT I've owned....every other CRT just over/underscans like the other two sides. There's no way to adjust that?

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

Okay, the two caps I ordered came in and there's a few things to note: - It didn't seem to move much lower. I guess I did need a higher value. How about this?: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/panasonic-electronic-components/ECW-HA3C223J/P15425-ND/3088422 - Now it's a bit too wide...

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

Okay, I'll look for those components on Digikey in the US and try to find exact matches. Also, someone was recommending I try adjusting the centering rings of the CRT and not touch the caps. Any thoughts on this? I'd probably want to replace them with quality ones anyway, even if they were...

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

There weren't many choices on Digikey. Here's what I found. Any thoughts?: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/panasonic-electronic-components/ECQ-E2824KF/EF2824-ND/56489 https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/panasonic-electronic-components/ECW-H16153JV/P10509-ND/269129 Also, what...

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

Okay, so remove C438 & C441, check their capacitance and order values below and above it, with the same or better voltage tolerance. How would I know what to put in the blank spots 442 & 435?

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

Okay, I just disassembled everything. Back of board (with component labels): https://i.imgur.com/lmG3Iqt.jpg C437: https://i.imgur.com/bJdUx2b.jpg C441: https://i.imgur.com/YQoGF2u.jpg I also ordered one of the boards @mmmonkey suggested, just in case this becomes too complicated...but I...

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

Thanks so much for responding. I'll have to take it apart again tomorrow to better pictures of everything, but below is what I have so far. Also, I have two of these machines and both chassis are like this: Missing C442, C435 and the fuse. I'll order the fuse with the new caps and will try...

HKC Game Scanboard 1415/2115 Ver 1.0: Geometry Issues

I have two tabletop arcade machines with a 14" CRT built in that both have the same issue: The image won't fill the screen. I recapped one of them and it was zero change. I tried tweaking the POTs and was able to stretch the image wide enough to overscan and while it's not ideal, it won't...

WTB Art Of FIghting 2 AES

I was able to pick up a cheap AoF2, but it looks like it's in really good condition. This might sound weird, but if someone sends me an AES cartridge case (original, aftermarket, don't care), I'll send them the box, instruction manual and AoF2 cartridge case "empty". This way I only use the...

WTB Art Of FIghting 2 AES

Does anyone have a cheap AES cart of AoF2? I need it to convert into a test cart for some projects I have coming up, so the worse condition it's in the better: Cart-only, cracked case, ruined sticker = PERFECT. As long as it works, that's all I need. A few friends said they can get stuff...

    Arcade-Projects Jamma extension cables

I definitely want one of these. LOL, I'm not sure what I'd use it for, but I have a feeling it'd come in handy at some point!
