Blast City / Astro City / Astro City 2 / NNC - Restorations

No worries, maybe we can open the order to others in LA to possibly save some money. I'm in no rush, just let me know when you decide to pull the trigger. I'm in Burbank.

Blast City / Astro City / Astro City 2 / NNC - Restorations

How much does Taito sell them for and how much do they charge for shipping? Also, what part of CA are you in? Maybe we can do a group order.

Working on a Sega Blast City

Not sure if you can tell from a YouTube video but I recorded two videos of music playing through the restored Blast City speakers. It sounds like I'm getting a lot of hissing from the tweeters. I did remove and clean them but found no restoration information on them. What do you think? Feel...

Working on a Sega Blast City

I was able to do a pretty good job of restoring them. KC's not someone I want to do business with unless it's necessary.

Sega Blast City PSU - Voltage Support

Copy. I've been more concerned with the mister aspect of it all since I'll predominately be running a mister solution long term. I was reading on a thread that dialing in the 5v and 12v for the mister is pretty important but I can be wrong.

Do you recommend upgrading the speakers or keeping the refurbished OEM speakers? Just wondering since I'm working on this restoration now anyway. Thank you for all you advice and support.

Sega Blast City PSU - Voltage Support

Here are some new readings. Both potentiometers maxed out. 5v dropped to the lowest setting and 3.3v maxed out. Both were reduced to their lowest setting.

Sega Blast City PSU - Voltage Support

Please let me know if you require additional pictures. I purchased my cap sets from Arcade Parts & Repair. Do you want me to provide the list of caps they sent me? Let me put this back together and I'll set 3.3v to the center and see what reading I get.

Sega Blast City PSU - Voltage Support

It seems to be pretty accurate. I was wondering the same myself and used my multimeter to take my own measurements and both gave me the same numbers.

Sega Blast City PSU - Voltage Support

Hey All, I recently recapped my Blast City PSU and decided to test the voltages. I've completely maxed out the 12v potentiometer to get these readings. I completely reduced the 5v potentiometer to get these readings. The readings I'm getting when connecting a RetroCastle Mister Jamma are...
