True flat bezel for Blast City

Hard to tell the chassis from a picture. From my experience, Blast monitors used to be replaced by Wei Ya chassis, I've seen that a lot, but never with a Toshiba PF. Toshiba chassis tend to have geometry deformation on the top of the picture on 15kHz, but not always with CPS2. Just fill that...

True flat bezel for Blast City

The River Service filler is just that, a filler. It fills the gap between monitor and bezel. It's not required to fit the monitor inside the cab. It's purely cosmetic. You can find other ways to fill the gap, like some sort of foam. Cutting an original NNC bezel seems rather extreme, and very...

Which of these is easiest to rotate?

I'm no Hercules, but I rotate the monitor of my NNC standing up alone, and it's heavier than the Blast City monitor. The weight alone is not the issue. The issue is the weight + lack of place for your hands + the very narrow space to manovre that will result in scratching your fingers or the...

Which of these is easiest to rotate?

Never tried, but my guess is, those handles still wouldn't make it as easy as rotating an Astro City monitor. Those D shaped holes are indeed a pain in the butt.

Which of these is easiest to rotate?

The Blast City manual features some accessories sold separately, including some big handles to screw on the monitor frame to help moving it. I've never seen them for real. But I've seen some home made ones for sale while ago on YAJ...

Should I paint the metal case ?

It's a convert that I will convert again. Not planning on selling it in a near future. Not planning on making extra money on it. Just want to know if I can make it look nicer.

Should I paint the metal case ?

Thanks for the advice 👌 I will be using the Model 2 with my New Net City cabinet. But the cage is too big to fit inside the NNC, and there's barely enough space for the boards to fit. My plan is to have the cage rest on the back lid, pretty much like with the Sega Lindgerh kit for NNC, but I'd...

Should I paint the metal case ?

Hey I have bought a working Model 2 stack, but that huge bulky metal case is ugly as shit. I'm wondering if I could sand it and paint it nice and sexy, but maybe I should reconsider because it might alter some grounding/electro magnetic function of the damn thing. But I've also seen a lot...

Sega Model2/3 - JAMMA Adapter Thread

I bought this Jamma + ATX adapter from YAJ, so I can test if my Model 2 board works correctly. https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/r1160975137 Now that I know it works fine, I will start making a harness to power it from the 15A JVS PSU I bought a few weeks ago. And then convert that board!

    Analog Flightstick HOTAS control panel

I was wondering when someone would eventually ask that question. 😁 I am using a prototype of a new JVS to USB converter that is currently being developed by HFSPlay, with plenty of features to be announced soon 🥳

Here is a short video displaying the panel (with 1 axis restrictor) used to play MAME. View: https://youtube.com/shorts/NOGHtRWahnc?si=PIRoaup2oh6L3bC-

    Analog Flightstick HOTAS control panel

Niiiice! Not only does it have that tiny rumble feature, but it's vastly superior in terms of ergonomics imo! Please share a picture of your panel as it is now 😁 The flight stick of the Star Wars Battle Pod cabinet is of the same kind, also with a rumble, but mounted to the side of the grip...

    Analog Flightstick HOTAS control panel

Yeah, it should work, but chances of finding a working Hikaru without the dedicated cab are low. And as far as Hikaru is concerned, the panel should also work for Planet Harrier. I'll check with emulation, but last time I checked, the Hikaru emulation has not moved a bit for the last decade...

    Analog Flightstick HOTAS control panel

I'd like to bring to your attention that, even if not tested, if one would make a panel with two angled joysticks set as throttle with the restrictors, that panel would look kinda like this: 😁

    a hello from hokkaido(Japan)

I worked for Wovou 10 years ago, and I eventually took over Arcade.am for a year, and I had no idea Hikaru existed, and I would have loved working with you. I sure would have a lot to say about Wovou, he sure is not perfect, but he's a business man in soul, and a successful one, which requires...

    Analog Flightstick HOTAS control panel

Attached is the drawing with the measurements I used for the panel. It was designed to fit the 3D printed mounting plates made for Monkey Ball by Doneee. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4564965

    Analog Flightstick HOTAS control panel

I'd definitely recommend to change to a Gundam stick. It feels MUCH better than the Sega analog stick imho. The angled handle feels a bit awkward though, and it is a bit higher than the flight stick. Adapting your throttle handle design to this stick would certainly make a huge improvement for...

Sega Vs City Cab - Replacement Speakers

We have installed these Visaton speakers in Versus City cabs, using some laser cut adapter plates. They are a bit weaker than the original ones though.
