Sanwa Split buttons (Golfing Greats 2)

The first working prototypes have arrived! Due to excessive friction between both plungers preventing them to correctly move back up when pressed, the design is different than the original one. There is now a wall separating both plungers, but it now makes it impossible to insert the...

Building a wall mount for control panels

I'd guess some sort of Ikari Warrior style shooter, with a fire button on the joystick and some rotate clockwise/counter-clockwise buttons + grenade ?

Building a wall mount for control panels

I play Assault using my Virtual On panel and some custom made 4 way restrictors. Not quite arcade perfect, but playing with triggers feels more natural than with the top buttons. Also I assume the handles are more ergonomic. View: https://youtu.be/uhzYZaiAZhA?si=c7C9vvpdIJWRYHwd

Toshiba PF D29C051 15khz whine extremely loud

A whistle is usually a component that is vibrating. Immobilizing it will make the whistle stop, allowing you to identify it. Try removing it and resoldering it. Replace it if you can. If that component does not heat up, try immobilizing it with hot glue, or by stick a piece of carboard under it.

Puyo Puyo Tsu 4 Player Mode

That's a good piece of information, with even a part number ! I can hardly imagine a single link board to be sufficent. The YT video description mentions the use of fiber optic cables, so my guess is you need 2 link boards: one plugged on each system (most certainly on CN4 connector); and both...

Puyo Puyo Tsu 4 Player Mode

Wow! What an incredible find! I wonder how this was made possible! The video description mentions the use of optic fiber cable, but how tf did they plug that? Puyo Puyo Tsuu still has a very vivid community, they sure would love to play that!

Sanwa Split buttons (Golfing Greats 2)

Is that sarcastic? I mean, I've never played GG2, but I believe the hardest part is getting that golf ball controller, not the push buttons 😅

Sanwa Split buttons (Golfing Greats 2)

I am currently working on making a split button similar to the ones originally used for Konami's Golfing Great 2. The reason why I'm making this, is because I've been wanting to add Up/Down buttons to my Spinner panel, without adding a joystick or two buttons per player. This will make possible...

Changing the Battery on CPS2 Black all in one boards

Hello. Sorry for digging out that thread. I have a Puzz Loop 2 B board that still has its original suicide battery that I will need to change. Like Progear, the game is stored both on Eproms and Simms. (not my actual board) Is the protocol the same as described above ? With power on and...

Blue light cover for New Net City

@twistedsymphony made an extensive research of all the different versions of the Naomi cabinets, and none of them feature a blue light cover. http://solid-orange.com/1777 Also, the original light cover makes an orange light. There is an official Red cover that came with the Tekken 5 New Net...

Weche 'Ok Baby' Arcade Cabinet Restoration

I've worked on restoring a few Jaleco Pony mk4 (the cab the OK Baby is a clone of) and it could have been a nice cab if the plastic it's made of did not become that fragile. It quickly became a nightmare to work on, as all those screw inserts broke one after the other. I don't expect the ones...

    Sega Trackball RGB LED mod

It's extremely basic, just a piece of metal with a single led holder, you screw it underneath the trackball, plug the 12V and let there be light.

    Sega Trackball RGB LED mod

I've bought a pair of Sega Trackballs coming from Sengoku Taisen cabs, they came with the LED assembly (but without the translucent balls). Unfortunately, that LED assembly makes the trackball too deep to fit inside my New Net City panel.

    Capcom IO tall feet

I've not seen it mentioned in this topic, but just a reminder that these high feet can also be used as CPS2 mounting feet. That way you can mount 2 CPS2 on top of each other and screw them both to your cab's wooden board.

    Audio issue with Cameltry PCB

There is indeed a track with components on pin 5. Guess I'll have to build a - 5V adapter to find out.

    Audio issue with Cameltry PCB

I recently bought a Cameltry board, and the game works fine but there are some audio issue. The sound effects seem to be at normal volume, but the musics are barely audible. I tried working on my cab's audio circuit, but nothing changed. Then I plugged a headset directly on the jamma audio...

    Golfing Greats 2: Split Buttons

Another pack of these buttons sold on YAJ for 18.500 JPY. It had this nice picture of the inside of the buttons and plungers.

Using spinner to play NG/JAMMA games

I don't have pics of mine right now, but it's that classic Capcom 00718-1 board for Puzz loop 2, nothing special about mine, and it works perfectly fine with that game.
