Welcome! Lots of resources on here to help. I think some of the best values is using a Mister FPGA with component inputs if you just want to get playing. Otherwise can get into super guns and all that if you want to use an arcade board with a crt.

Welcome. I've been stripping down and cleaning both an L and an FC. I only get like one hour a night to do it so it is taking a really long time. I do have the L all set to go though. Certainly a journey in itself!

Thanks, yeah I am thinking of probably just going in that direction. That weird protrusion that the noise filter sits on along with the slits on the edges to accomodate the Vewlix body just seem annoying to do. I also don't have any kind of saw but I guess now's as good as any to start...

Kind of a weird request but the Vewlix I got had lot of water damage and I think I have to chuck it since a lot of the wood is pretty soft and swollen. I dunno if anyone consolized their Vewlix and took this out, but I would be interested in buying potentially. I am also just considering...
