Use the UniBios to run a CRC check on the game's program roms and make sure they're good. Other than that, I'd suggest trying to clear the backup ram. It doesn't sound like a motherboard issue to me.

So far, I've been unable to reproduce the issue. When you mentioned swapping RAM, are you swapping RAM with brand new sticks or between your X2 units? Also, can you confirm you have at least 1GB of RAM?

The multi doesn't patch anything. Unless you enable "Game Patches" but that only affects Nesica games for things like network unlocks and hiding the "Nesica Offline" messages.

What you want isnt a patch, but the "Export" version. It will be up on the "Internet Archive" soon.

IIRC you can use any USB DVD drive, but you'll need a USB adapter. On another note, reinstalling will likely not solve the problem. The problem is likely the motherboard. Check the capacitors for leaking.
