So I may be missing something, but what is the best way to clear the backup RAM? I have tried the test menu on various games and don't see the option. Do you need to boot without any cart attached or something?

Nope, never had this issue with two Atomiswave motherboards. First time I have hear heard/seen it.

Had the same issue with one of my Blasts. Sent chassis in to be fixed by the pros. Happy I did, as it has been up and running since. Also they recapped it while they had it.
