The oki roms and main program are not dumped. The program should have mods to accommodate the oki. This just provides the mcu with the data to spit out.

It's already figured out how it's done. The french guy did a replay attack / cat emulation, and i did the real cracked versions. Can you dump the game though? The dumps we have are missing roms.... I'll buy it for science anyway if it's going spare and can figure out getting it dumped if you...

This is an old bootleg anyways. it has OKI sound It's also not cracked AFAIK and used the replay method (sending a "copy" of the original data the cat chip sends on boot up) It would be nice to see this dumped fully so the oki version can be preserved. Also exists BR1 , similar setup.

It's rare the actels actually go bad. Check out the surface mount rams or the SH2 soldering.

Check out the other threads on the bios board etc. If a multi ever happens the bios will need to be done on the board anyway.

This bootleg is very common, i'm sure it's dumped?? Anyways= I'm sure it can be figured out by dumping the other 3 and looking how the data is split.

The 2 mask roms next to the YM. but if they were dead you would get crackling noise and or corrupted samples. Problem will be op-amp area, YM, or the 68000 and it's ram / pld's. (or a dead line etc) Without a scope or something to probe the sound it's a bit of a crapshoot...

Without a scope it will be tricky to debug! First stop would be scope at the OP-amps in the left corner. Any chance you could dump the 27c040's? (17b /18b) these seem to be a new version?

There's a couple of op-amps / caps etc on the top board worth checking. Also the GAL are dumped so there is easy things to check. Normally i would offer to take a look but got no workshop right now :(

Sound effects are done on the top board for this game. The extra 68000 etc handles it. Will be tricky to repair i think... Music is done by the motherboard.

Then it will be an MGxx keychip on the romboard. MG xx = tecmo. .... CP xx = capcom, TT xx = taito etc.

Brave blade is 1x Vram , so no problem on any board ;)
