Thank you for the picture @tacobell, after testing a bit I believe the issue is not in the DLL but in the ttxshell. Just need to think of a clever fix.
The difference is that the new DLL waits a bit longer when initializing the JVS.
Can you share a picture of the IO ? I have version 838-13683-92 A and it works fine with the Type X2 Multi.
Do you have a RS485 adapter @tacobell ?
The 838-13683-93 needs a longer time when initialising the JVS IIRC.
Try replacing the \TypeXMulti\assets\jvsdll.dll with this:

Sounds you have activated autoboot.
The autoboot feature sets a game that is started as soon as the unit is powered on, bypassing the multi menu completely. If you wish to boot back into the multi menu, you can hold P1 Start on bootup.
Why are we not talking about how fantastic this game is ? I even made a "hidden" tribute site back in the day.

Thanks for sharing the details @fuzzbuddy !
Based on the shared info I would have thought it would have been better to use a 27C040 (ie. quadruple the image) to eliminate both pin 30 and 31 floating.
edit:
If you look at the picture on the dentsubo site you can see the marking 23c4xxx, this is...
The wavy interference is typically a video driver issue. Did he change all the caps in the video section ?

Thanks for the info.
I would report this so it can be fixed, it's a bit strange since the coin status has to be explicitly set.

Thanks, so your HAS has GND connected to your 110V PSU cable but your SIGMA does not. However your HAS does not properly as well.
Have you done any voltage measurements ? I.e. what is the voltage on 1P B1 on the JAMMA connector when the switch is open and when it is closed ?
