Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

Another question...how would I correctly wire up a kick harness for the Minigun header pins? Like orientation-wise? I can easily find pinout diagrams for specific pcb's, but is there a pinout diagram for the Minigun?

Midway (Williams) Y unit (Z unit and T unit) Discussion, Serial Numbers etc

My Smash TV board has wiring like that on the solder side as well.

Wired me up a 9 pin mini din to RGBS this morning...works great! 😁

Fun fact: I just noticed that the RGBS cable that comes with the GBS pcb, is the perfect size for the kick harness header on the Minigun...just a couple pins extra. Good to know! 😉

Ok, that's what I figured. Just wanted to know if it was something that was maybe integrated. All good. Thank you for the knowledge!

I've tried the dip switches, and they don't seem to do anything...I'm probably missing something, as per the usual. Mainly for MK's, Street Fighter, etc.

Ok, now I'm wondering how to integrate the extra 3 buttons? I'm using a Neo to SNES adapter, but still only have the standard 3 button inputs. I would greatly appreciate any guidance! 🙂

No, it was an adapter I bought to connect RGB to the converter pcb...little did I know, it wouldn't work cuz there is no sync cable.

Right, but the Mini Din cable I had was only 3 wires...red, green, and blue. otherwise It would been simple. I get what you're saying.

Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

Well...modding a harness for the RGBS and Mini Din proved to be alot more difficult than I anticipated...sooo, for the time being, I just soldered the wires directly to the din pins on the Minigun. Not a very reliable solution, but it'll work for now until I can get a more solid alternative...

Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

I inserted the bare wires from the connector to the mini din input and had successful video. So I'm currently modding a 9 pin din connector to wire directly to that harness...I'll report back.

Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

The converter pcb DID come with a wiring harness for the header pins directly in front of the VGA "in" input. Not sure how I would wire that into the 9 pin din connector though? Or would I be able to solder it directly to the jamma connector on the Minigun??

Not quite sure how I would go about doing that? You'll have to forgive me..as I am still learning.

Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum, and had some questions regarding the Minigun Supergun. Now I ordered the Minigun V2.5, all the components, proper cables, built everything...the whole shebang. I have everything hooked up properly, getting proper voltages, but I'm having ONE problem...no...
