I've performed further tests to try narrow down the issue. Fatal Fury Special sets 1 & 2 on Multi AES display these tiny blinking horizontal lines most of the times while my original AES cart never does. So it is now pretty obvious that the problem comes from the Multi AES and not from my setup.

Tried again today using a different browser just in case but had no success. Looks like saveyourgames doesn't have any Multi AES left which is very unfortunate for me as I just bought an AES console just for this :-(
