The system is usually talked about in the game manuals, some are in PDF format like the Tekken 4 and Tekken 5 manuals. I do have some extra sheets that weren’t part of any manuals that I would like to scan
Yes, I have worked on mine and have did have to do some troubleshooting https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/what-can-i-do-with-a-namco-system-246-driving-pcb.18925/
Cool update post! A friend of mine @lorizzuoso made a cool widescreen patch for the arcade version of Tekken 4, got to capture some footage and images to share here. So, it is indeed possible to make hacks but it seems very difficult and time consuming, there’s also some bugs atm but it’s all...
I thought those did work on the multi? Nvm, I read 256, not 246. My bad! IIRC, Yu Yu runs on the 246 I believe, it’s been a while since I last played it
Unfortunately it’s an issue with the H057 JVS board, when the battery dies on those, they have some sort of “suicide” it seems. Unfortunately there’s currently no definitive way to fix them or what’s really causing the issue
Btw, you plugged your JVS cable to the wrong port…
Yeah, the game is 480i only but Namco did release some RGB to Svideo/ composite adapters. Plus, you can use any video converter to play the game on a modern display, like the GBS-8200 or the OSSC, works fine in my experience
