No attract mode on Super Neo 29

The differences between JAMMA and MVS are minor (service button and stereo audio), rest is identical including start buttons. Start at the JAMMA connector, if you can pull the pin for P2 start. There's a short to ground somewhere, could be the way the button is connected or the ground loop in...

APOCALYPSE M92 Wait List and Sales Thread!!!

That's a good suggestion but the game also continuously swings left and right to determine the angle so you would have to sync shot power with that.

APOCALYPSE M92 Multi Installation and Support

@mathewbeall 1A & 1B daughterboards are the same thing but 1B only has 4 rows of pins populated (instead of 8 for 1A). They should be identified by a tick on the silkscreen. Basically 1A is fully populated and fits in all 4 C0 to C3 sockets, 1B is half populated and fits in SL0 & SH0 sockets.

APOCALYPSE M92 Wait List and Sales Thread!!!

I'm not sure what is it you want exactly. That game has a dedicated romboard with connectors for the extra sensors. Even if a way was found to hook up the sensors, what are you going to do next? Mount a football ball on an arm? That said a software hack could be made so a press on a button would...

Reproducing the one and only custom chip on Capcom's CPS1 A-boards, aka CPS-A-01 / DL-0311

A question for @WydD if he reads me. There a discrepancy on p5 between the schematics and the annoted equations, who's right? [EDIT] The bit maskings seem to indicate the schematics are correct wrong.

Reproducing the one and only custom chip on Capcom's CPS1 A-boards, aka CPS-A-01 / DL-0311

Hello, The CPS1 from Capcom, as we all know, was a great system, host of many glorious games from the late 80s/early 90s such as Ghouls'n Ghosts, Final Fight... And Street Fighter II of course! It's also infamous for its custom chips having a very high failure rate, with no replacement as of...

[Repair Log] How to replace those nasty Z180 (HD647180) MCUs on Toaplan System 1 boards

Man, you couldn't help. Simply trial and error, which involves going too deep and screwing up expensive chips.

Hi everyone and Happy New Year 2025. For a long time it wasn't possible to replace the Z180 (HD647180) MCUs used on some Toaplan boards because their internal ROM wasn't dumped. Then in late 2016 CapsOff took care of that...

FS Price check - Egret 2

Hey mate, sad to see you're selling the last masterpieces from your collection. If your employer is paying for the move I'd wait to be in the US. The market in NZ isn't great, well it is if you're a buyer, rarest cabs here rarely go for more than NZ$1000, which is only ~US$600.
