    SOLD NEC XP-37 Plus (XP3790)

Man, I bet. I shipped the 29" version, and just crating it was a huge pain in the ass. I can only imagine how much heavier this one is. It probably wouldn't fit in the crate I used. I did get it safely from California to New York, but honestly F that, if it hadn't been a favor for a (very ex)...

    Bambu Lab boiz

The situation with Bambu is unfortunate, and I'm glad they're getting blowback. I find people like Louis Rossman unwatchable, and even though I read Hackaday daily I find their commentators often difficult to deal with. Alright. Anyway, I hope they reconsider locking out 3rd party slicers...

Supergun: 3D Printed Enclosure for Home Arcade System + Mean Well PSU

Nice, that's what I use. I don't love everything about it, but I can navigate it well enough to do what I need. I know for a fact my approach isn't always optimal, but always learning to do better. Glad you're enjoying it, I'm super big on preaching the joy of owning a 3D printer for everyone...

Supergun: 3D Printed Enclosure for Home Arcade System + Mean Well PSU

Learning CAD really opens up a whole new world when you have a 3D printer. I'd say at least 80% or more of what I print is custom instead of things I download, though that can be super useful too. Tons of great models out there. But having some plastic that's exactly what you need? Wow. I'm...

CV1000D Multi! NOT A BOOT CHAT THREAD - Formerly: A huge project is approaching....

Sorry, forgot that wouldn't make sense without context to many people. Metallica Limited Edition pinball, from 2013. They only made 500, and people, especially during lockdown, were paying stupid money for pinball and especially limited versions. Now, not only has the market cooled some since...

CV1000D Multi! NOT A BOOT CHAT THREAD - Formerly: A huge project is approaching....

I had people begging me to sell my Metallica LE during covid for stupid money. I might get half that now lol. It happens. Nobody who buys games should look at them as investments. If you lose money on your hobby that just means ... you have a hobby.

CV1000D Multi! NOT A BOOT CHAT THREAD - Formerly: A huge project is approaching....

But think about how much more metal it would be to shop at Walmart if you had to sign a blood oath in the checkout line. They'd probably sell your DNA or something afterwards. --- Only vaguely related anecdote, but it sums up my feeling on things like this: I shared a custom Street Fighter 6...

Holy Cow! DIY alternative to CPS3 UltraSIMMs

imo it's super reasonable to not use this forum to sell products that compete with the people who run things. Just to register my non-complaint since mostly people only bother to speak up if they're mad or whining.

Better molded than printed - what sort of plastic parts are we missing in this hobby?

Awesome, glad to hear it's helpful. I'm trying to get my project focus for 2025 in gear myself, pretty sure creative energy is what's going to get me through the year sane. Looking forward to seeing what you share!

The GK3 Ultra is an option too. https://uniformation3d.com/products/uniformation-gk3-ultra I really like my GKTwo, though I'm hearing the GKThree (non ultra) aren't quite baked.

Unico ULM26 3D printed mounting brackets for Astro City

Just buy whatever Bambu Lab printer your budget will fit. There are other options, other considerations, it's a whole topic. But that's the answer that works without headaches. They make the closest thing to "appliance" printers—they're easy to set up, easy to use, reliable, fast, high quality...

Reduce, Recycle, Rewrite - Future home of cool plastics projects

Dug up. This link is for just his posts so you can ignore all the noise of people asking him for Game X. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/freeplay40-ramps?tu=freeplay40 Lots of photos of his journey, his setup, bucks, dyeing PETG etc, hopefully it's helpful to at least skim through.

Reduce, Recycle, Rewrite - Future home of cool plastics projects

There is a really good thread on Pinside about learning and adventures in pinball ramp vacuforming, I'll try and dig it up for you. My friend's dad turned it into a bit of a retirement hobby and got quite good at it. But also documented along the way.

Nice work. Honestly if you're in this hobby and you don't own a 3D printer ... get one. I consider them essential tools.

You didn't find the easter egg apparently. Censored for public consumption lol.
