This is a close up of the simm with the missing chip. There is a T10 on there. Not sure what the difference is.

    Repairing a 128 Mb Simm

Hey, sorry if this the wrong place but I have a set of Simms but one of the 128s appears to have had one of the chips removed. (See pic) I’m assuming if I can find a simm (32mb most common available) I could graft one of the chips onto my 128 if it’s the same type as the rest on there? (the...

replacing scsi cd-rom drive with scsi sd card adapter?

To transfer the iso i was using the HDD Raw Copy tool. I'll find a different microsd card and give it a try with both sets of image (Custome/SH2). Also, could someone try something for me: boot their board without an sd card in the slot. What error does the CPS3 display?

replacing scsi cd-rom drive with scsi sd card adapter?

On fw 4.8.4. Honestly I'm just using a microsd that came out of mobile phone somewhere along the line. If there is no sd card in the scs2sd should the cps3 grumble about no disc though? edit: the best way to test to see if its my mobo is to test on a friend's setup. I'll see if I can do that...

replacing scsi cd-rom drive with scsi sd card adapter?

I'm not, as I read the adaptor gets power through the ribbon cable. Is that incorrect? Massive face palm if so. :D

replacing scsi cd-rom drive with scsi sd card adapter?

Ah cool. Yeah thats where i got mine from. So i'm pretty confident the scsi2sd is setup correctly so its either the board or the scsi cable. I'll see if i can find a different cable to test with.

replacing scsi cd-rom drive with scsi sd card adapter?

Thanks Kazuo, that would be great if you could please? I'm fairly sure i read up thread that 5.0a works ok (i hope it does!). I'll have a trawl back through the thread. edit: i get the same error whether the scis2sd is connected or not (disconnected the scsi adaptor entirely). edit2: its...

replacing scsi cd-rom drive with scsi sd card adapter?

Recently acquired a CPS3 mobo that has a few issues (with 1P controls so unfortunately I cant access any Super Bios tools yet, and potentially other issues) and I'm trying to test stuff with it as much as I can. So i got the Super Bios cart the other day and fortunately the board boots. I have...

    Mobo missing components.

Afternoon! So, I received a Super Bios cart from @Darksoft today and thankfully the CPS3 motherboard boots ok. Unfortunately it looks like those missing components control the 1P controls as I can’t control the cursor when in the Super Bios menu. So @caius, can I ask for your help in getting...

Seibu SPI - Raiden Fighters display issue.

Thanks guys. Yes, I have pressed on the chips that aren’t obscured by the game board without any change.

Seibu SPI - Raiden Fighters display issue.

I appear to have gotten rid of the flux but the behaviour is the same unfortunately. Hopefully you can see from the photos that the game is running. Flexing the board doesn’t change the behaviour at all, suggesting that it’s not an obviously loose component.
