There is a small pcb vertically mounted just in front of the pin amp ic , you will find a trimmer for trapezoid on this pcb. Just remove this and check for broken solder joints on any pins .

You can just use the ms9 yoke but with ms8 rings already set

If you got no red, most likely there is something damage on the neck board, not the tube! just swap the neck board to confirm this, then will be easy to address the issue just comparing the two neck board PCB , just testing any component in red line

Maybe the H Driver transformer , broken solder joints or just itself failed

You should replace U550 ic, LA7853 and all elettrolitic caps if you have still not done. Also check for bad solder joints.

I would just like to point out that the ABL trimmer, present on MS9 and more recent chassis, should always be positioned at maximum, anti-clockwise, otherwise it will limit the electronic beam current and on the brightest scenarios it will cut the general brightness, it will limit the flashes...

It might be a good idea to post a photo of the chassis, maybe so someone here could help you better.
