Basic questions about the WiPi netboot please

I tried your img, but unfortunately went in the same way of the old 32gb img, like mentioned in the begining of this thread, no WiPi-Netbooter network found :( I used the same Sandisk 32gb class10 that I have been using so far... so I installed back my 8gb img (then extended to 32gb) + roms

JVS to JAMMA kick harness for New Astro City (solved)

Solved! I merged B4 and B5 inputs of P1 and P2 harnesses (Jamma) with B4 and B5 inputs of Aux harness - merging live and ground wires. Also, I modified the kick harness by picking just B6 of P1 and B6 of P2 Result: I got my 6 buttons with the Naomi for the Capcom games without changing my...

JVS to JAMMA kick harness for New Astro City (solved)

Actually I didn't think that! Yes I coud! I already have buttons 4 and 5 from P1 and P2 harness. I could do a dual connection with buttons 4 and 5 coming from the Auxiliary 10pin AMP UP harness and see. I hope that won't have a bad impact when I use Cps1 or 2 (?)

JVS to JAMMA kick harness for New Astro City (solved)

Indeed it is what I figured-out unfortunately. My goal was to do an harness that, like for the CPS1 and CPS2, allows me to get straight forward buttons 4,5,6 without changing my CP layout. It looks like that it is not possible by using a Sega i/o board, where I can get just button 6. It could be...

JVS to JAMMA kick harness for New Astro City (solved)

I fixed the cable, but I am figuring out that probably I can't get the CPS1/2 6 buttons layout as my cab is set :( First, the Jumper on the Sega i/o board has to be set on side A (I got no inputs from the kick buttons on side B) I was assuming that buttons 6,7,8 indicated on the Rev B board...

JVS to JAMMA kick harness for New Astro City (solved)

You are right! I wired up the AMP UP connector starting from the left (pin 5) instead of the right (pin 1). That happens when I trust my memory and don’t check the schematic… I will fix it and back with the result. Thanks! 4 eyes are better than 2

JVS to JAMMA kick harness for New Astro City (solved)

I made the following harness to get the extra kick buttons to my New Astro City from the Naomi board through the JVS to JAMMA Sega I/o Board Rev B (838-1368392) - Jumper set in B side. I followed the pin-out for the Rev A that should be the same, but, by testing it with CVS2, I didn’t get any...

CPS2 Multi - not saving the volume setting

They are both well grounded. I checked them with the a few points on the jamma connector and other negative solder points. I put the board back into the cab after last repair... Yep a recap might help... I hoped if someone got/solved the same issue... Anyway, I will keep test the board and see...

CPS2 Multi - not saving the volume setting

I removed the Supercap. Cleaned well everything. Rubbed a bit the solder pads with a little metallic brush and I was able to solder again the Supercap from the solder side. I am not saying the pads are like new now but they hold the solder and the Supercap is pretty stady in position. Also, I...

CPS2 Multi - not saving the volume setting

I supposed to mark this thread as "solved" today, but it's still not unfortunately... Here are photos of the solder pads. I have also marked in red the only continuity found component side solder side Like mentioned previously, pads don't hold solder any more now (they started to degrade...

CPS2 Multi - not saving the volume setting

I didn't do it to be fair. I was a bit lazy to check the diagram... do you know where to check the continuity for the C18? I put back the original battery yesterday night and was working well with both Jamma and Amp outputs. I checked it this morbning and It's giving the same faulties as per...

CPS2 Multi - not saving the volume setting

(Test has been done with the Max Volume set and running the Darksoft Multi) Hopefully anyone could explain where is the issue: - Original CPS2 C18 Supercap: Volume levels not saving after powering down. Good sound quality either from the Jamma output and Stereo Amp output. Non-responsive...

Basic questions about the WiPi netboot please

All sorted now, thanks! Finally I found some proper time to dedicate to it and figure out all these issues. Tx again for your tips. Now a good move will be to move the videos trailer of all the games from the 32gb img to my current ex “8gb img”

Naomi Pi 'WiPi Netbooter' - compatible with Pi 3&4

My setup is a Naomi 2 running at 15khz into a New Astro City. I suppone it should work or am I missing something? I will give a run to every game (Naomi and AW) in the list and see. Should they all work ok?
