Hi Nem, appreciate your help but my question is with the board inserted and soldered into the edge connector how would I access the 4 pin locations? Would I need to desolder the whole thing to remove that board and transfer the cables off of the board onto the pins of the edge connector?

That would go back to me replacing the Jamma harness, no? I would imagine I would need to ensure x4 for both ground and +5V on the edge and separate x2 for ground and +12V? I would imagine there are certain shops to go to for them. I have seen Bob Roberts harnesses mentioned in some older threads.

@nem appreciate you weighing in! Yes, I can confirm the voltage out of the PSU is greater than what is seen at the edge.

AH… I was afraid of that. Will need to do some research. Definitely out of my range and maybe out of my comfort zone.

Is there a way to tell if the M-1 or V chips went bad or have failed? Could they go bad even if continuity is present? These picture should be cleared of the boards and hopefully someone can see or suggest some thing I am clearly missing.

[UPDATE] Tested M-1 pins for continuity from front to back of board and also from trace side to contacts. All lines confirmed. So that’s good, I guess? Started testing V 1-4. I quickly realized on the eprom side a pin hits multiple traces on the other side of the board. Which at first I thought...

Hi Neo-Alec, Appreciate you keeping an eye on this! Since you last wrote back I noted in the prior update that boards work now just outside of the cartridge casing. See the video and video photos above.

So far I have continuity from the traces on the back of the board… the pins on the SMA and PCM look fine… not sure what to look for next.

Hi All, Thanks for chiming in. I straightened out the pins between 76-79 the best I could and tested the traces on the back. All checked out but one. I bypassed it with 30 AWG cable and retested and get continuity between the points now. Sadly same result though… back to square one.
