I'd be quite interested in knowing how it goes with the new flyback. I may need to change one and want to know the quality before either ordering a replacement flyback or getting a new chassig and using the other for parts.
Recently, got a MS9-29A fully recapped. Today, I noriced the image starts to shake and "collapsing" at some moments. Does anybody else has experienced this issue? What would you suggest me to start checking, bsides cold solder joint.
Checked all mask EPROMs, zero issues, so I started to check schematics online to trace the 2 pins the 4MBit EPROMs are not using.
GFX Address A20 is not available when using these 40 pin mask EPROMs.
Same with gfx address A21
By tracking the traces, indeed, this address is not available...
Yes, it’s using an E PAL and there is no issue with the sound.

Did you manage to fix this? I'm havng the same issue and it seems to be related to the jumpers on the gfx section. My pcb comes with 4 4Mbit and 4 32MBit EPROMs in the same area, but all of the jumpers are set up as 32 MBit. I'm trying to figure out how to change the jumpers to accept 40...
