    Samurai Shodown 5 Special/Perfect - Improperly decrypted V-Roms

Would be difficult but not impossible. I used a USB Flashcat which is fairly inexpensive, but still a bit of an investment if you only need it once.

This, I’m pretty positive it’s on the right.

    Samurai Shodown 5 Special/Perfect - Improperly decrypted V-Roms

Doing a quick visual comparison with the MT28EW256 data sheet, it looks to be the same. OE is grounded so you won’t be able to flash it in circuit. Can you also share a pic of your entire board? Also where did you buy it?

    Samurai Shodown 5 Special/Perfect - Improperly decrypted V-Roms

You might be able to purchase some pre-flashed memories online from buyicnow or one of the other suppliers. Hell, you might even be able to find someone on the forum. I'd offer to do it, but all my tools are packed up at the moment. Swapping out the chip is easy, its a little daunting at first...

    Samurai Shodown 5 Special/Perfect - Improperly decrypted V-Roms

It will be decreypted vrom. On my board, the flash that the V-Rom was stored on was labeled. It had been marked with a “V” using marker. I initially probbed the address/data lines and used JTAG boundary scan to dump the contents. It was just the two V-Roms concatenated. Unfortunately it was...

FOUND - Taito Type X2 mobo working or milti’d

I’d grab one from Derick, he’s a great dude. https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/fs-taito-x2s-with-fast-io-dmac-card.19463/

    Samurai Shodown 5 Special/Perfect - Improperly decrypted V-Roms

Unfortunately I think its going to be one of those cases where its not going to get fixed until PCM2 decryption in MAME is fixed. On another note, you can fix your cart, I replaced the V rom in my AES SamSho5 Perfect.

Great write up on adjusting the convergence rings! I had been putting off adjusting mine.

    A Freeware Taito TypeX2 Multigame.

Last time I had random reboots, it turned out to be RAM. RFID emulation will work with FastI/O, though if you have one and its only a matter of plugging in the cable, then id recommend using it. Not that there is anything wrong with the RFID emulation, just slightly less overhead. :)

Sega RingEdge 2 cant join partition 7 (SOLVED)

Yes, avoid using the Capcom I/O ( honestly I'd avoid using it on anything as it adds lag ). A Sega Type3 is what I generally recommend but you should be fine with a Sega Rev. B. Those are two I/O boards I test with during development.

[FIXED] TTX2 - First no video, later no signs of life

Yea, you’ll definitely need to power the I/O board.

[FIXED] TTX2 - First no video, later no signs of life

Glad to see you got it fixed. Games can do a few different types of checks on the I/O board. With this being a “deluxe” game, It’s likely a unique I/O board. Anyway, the I/O board check can probably be patched out pretty easily.

Did you reconnect the front panel header to that "JVS card"? Thats what actually kicks the system on ;)

    Taito X2 Dongle

If you want to upload it to somewhere like mega or google drive and just shoot me a link via PM that would be easiest for me. The hard drive itself isn't encrypted, but the game is stored in an encrypted container.

    Nesica X Live issues

Yep assuming you have the required 1GB of RAM, then replacing the RAM would likely fix the games that wont boot. As for Nesys, there is no offical way to turn it off. Its offline because its either outside of the NxL service operating hours in Japan or the Round1 doesnt have the VPN router...

    Taito X2 Dongle

You'd have to decrypt it. There is a "vdimg_ec" file in "C:\TypeXsys\data" ( or something like that ). If you zip it up and send it to me, I'll dump it and send it back. I cant recall if Lupin had extra protections in place, it wouldn't surprise me if it did. Almost all of the "deluxe" games...
