NAOMI Netbooting - Error 33 Gateway Not Found error

OK... so solder joints and traces look fine (checked with multimeter and inspection scope). I couldn't get it to be recognised by the wipi-netbooter, it's doing it's "I refuse to acknowledge the network" thing (sometimes I can get TX/RX LEDs to light, but it cant be seen). Tried with a known...

NAOMI Netbooting - Error 33 Gateway Not Found error

Thanks, I've got a wipi-netbooter setup here somewhere. Will give that a try.

NAOMI Netbooting - Error 33 Gateway Not Found error

I'm unfamiliar with that as a concept... got a link?

NAOMI Netbooting - Error 33 Gateway Not Found error

Yeah, will break out the multi-meter and look for bad traces from the pic etc. But that's a task for another day...

NAOMI Netbooting - Error 33 Gateway Not Found error

I'm having this same error, but only with one specific network only daughter board. The 0-pic works fine with other boards, and I've been able to update the firmware through the network daughter board so I know that communication is OK. But I get "error 33 network gateway not found" after a game...

    Sega RingEdge2 Not working

That sounds like a short somewhere... something is pulling power, possibly across a resistor (my guess would be the charging circuit). As for using a generic motherboard... you would end up with just a PC running as an emulation platform (emulating the system not the CPU etc). Yes it could be...

WTT: Neo Geo MVS cartridge swap.

Give me a bit to double check that I don't have an AOF hiding around here (think I have the CD but not MVS) and I'll PM you this afternoon.

WTT: Neo Geo MVS cartridge swap.

Yeah, sorry. Had one set of duplicates there. One with the Japanese label and one US. Gave the person offering the trade their choice of which one they wanted.

WTT: Neo Geo MVS cartridge swap.

I'm in the north bay area, what're you interested in trading? Note that I've reached a preliminary deal for Metal Slug X. But still cataloging my collection...

RESOLVED (formerly wtb) Taito JVS I/O (for Vewlix,) or similar, J&K harness, & 1L Panel

That's a JVS to JAMMA adapter. So goes the other way (JVS output from system to JAMMA cabinet). Think I have one of the SEGAs as well (837-15083) but none of the adapters or cables for it. I'd definitely be interested in trading for or buying the Fast I/O board you have if you don't want to hang...

RESOLVED (formerly wtb) Taito JVS I/O (for Vewlix,) or similar, J&K harness, & 1L Panel

I had compatibility issues with some Naomi and Namco games with mine, ended up using an Open JVS adapter like this. That being said, which version of the Fast I/O board do you have? May be willing to swap/trade up from my now unused Taito JVS board.

WTT: Neo Geo MVS cartridge swap.

So looks like I have a couple of duplicates in my MVS cart pile. Anyone interested in trading my duplicates for yours? So far looks like I have... Metal Slug X (have both a US and Japanese label) 3 Count Bout Samurai Shodown In the US, should probably keep it local to avoid high shipping costs.

    A Freeware Taito TypeX Multigame

Yeah... had a hell of a time clearing the ground pins on the capacitors due to the large ground plane pulling heat away. I've got some "chipquik" like @rtw listed, but hand't thought to try it. Would be hard to apply in this case (only ever used it on surface mounted components before I got a...

    A Freeware Taito TypeX Multigame

Only got a couple capacitors replaced... had a hell of a time getting the holes cleared after desoldering. Will try again at a later date. But, everything's up and running. Replaced the power supply with a pico-psu while I was in there. Menu is a little flickery, but that's not unexpected...

    A Freeware Taito TypeX Multigame

So, good news: I found a 64GB Kingston SATA SSD that's working (think this was the first SSD I ever bought). Bad news: found an exploded capacitor. So guess I'm spending the weekend doing a recap.

Yeah, no worries... I'll try another drive setup. Think I have some older SATA SSDs in the closet. And yes, I've been running VGA to DVI via an OSSC. Although my old Viewsonic 4:3 LCD on my workbench seems to handle the output well enough without a scaler.

    A Freeware Taito TypeX Multigame

Sorry, meant DVI. Yeah getting 15khz out when I boot off the stock drive and dongle (using the cards VGA port, not tried using a DVI to VGA adapter. Will give that a shot this afternoon). Working on my test bench and Vewlix. But with no drive, or my currently prepared multi drive, I get no video...

    A Freeware Taito TypeX Multigame

Been using the VGA out, never got HDMI DVI to work (think it's outputting low res). The game it came with (Matrimelee Matsuri) looks a bit off on my desktop VGA LCD, but fine on my Vewlix once I run it through an OSSC. I have tried the HDMI output, but to no avail. When using the VGA output, I...
