Eye of Typhoon: Remake (Beta) of Unfound Prototype

Just keep in mind this fan port is the "Tsunami Edition" so it plays pretty differently from the original.

    Repo MVS Cart PCB Discussion

It's a dream come true to see Fluffy talking custom Neo Geo boards! Can it be split off into its own separate topic?

    MVS cartridge slot issues

Yeah, you can buy replacement slots. Obviously a lot of work to replace, and should be a last resort: https://www.neostore.com/Neo-Geo-MVS-cartridge-slot-replacement-kit-p/1327.htm Try cleaning with Deoxit D5 contact cleaner first. Visually inspect for bent pins. You can bend the pins out...

    MV-1C audio issue

Sounds like SS2 is fine. Just a typical one-time thing. I guess I'm still inclined to think it's a dirty cart slot since you didn't report issues with other games. If there's a problem with the hardware on the MV-1C, I would expect other games to have issues.

    MV-1C audio issue

To clarify, the SS2 cartridge usually works and is fully working now? The problem occurred just one time in the past?

    iq_132's Neo Geo ports

I've had multiple people looking at the Cabal rom now, including Ozzy (who is the developer of TEOT Tsunami Edition) and the creator of the neosdconv tool, and we think there is just something non-standard about the rom files (they don't run in AES mode for example) preventing the .neo file from...

Issue with MultiMVS after FW and Menu update

Do you have a regular game to try the board with? I think you're right that the problem is with the cart. Is it possible to roll back the cart update? That Z80 error doesn't tell much, but it's probably just a normal error when there's a problem with the game, since the MV1C has no SM1 rom...

    MV-1C audio issue

Clean the slot better with a contact cleaner like Deoxit D5

Issue with MultiMVS after FW and Menu update

Did you clear the system's backup ram after the upgrade? Is the system in MVS or AES mode, and does changing to the other do anything different?

    MV-1C audio issue

Carefully open the game (when removing the boards don't open it far enough to crease the label) and compare it to the scans on mvs-scans.com Fake Puzzle Bobbles are more common than the real thing. See this part of my video here: View: https://youtu.be/eVV5pci9mQw?t=09m17s

    MV1C Cross Hatch Test issue

Clean the cart slot and games with Deoxit D5. It sounds like the board is fine.

    MV-1C audio issue

Are you sure the game isn't fake? Clean the games and boards. Also, clear the backup ram after cleaning.

    Mv-1 big board/ coin issue

What kind of cab/supergun do you have? The large board should have an MVS/jamma switch on it, and the small board should be jamma.

Here's the .neo file I created anyway, if anyone wants to try it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1M1hPRnnE3U1yyYPT935ewGB27ti2GWBn/view?usp=sharing

    Cabal MVS port by iq_132

Well, I just tried building a .neo file using the neosdconv unofficial utility with that rom, and no dice. Same problem as before. It doesn't boot on my NeoSD Pro MVS with the system running in MVS mode. Just colors on the screen. This works on real hardware with a Darksoft cart, right?

Which download is the latest MAME version? I'd like to build a .neo for testing. Thanks.

Very cool. Sorry I never got time to post a video of the Cabal issue. How are you handling the music in Terra Cresta?

    MVS Puzzle Bobble Bootleg

The seller shouldn't be surprised. Puzzle Bobble bootlegs are probably more common than the real thing.
