    Multimeter recommendations?

I must admit I was in a similar situation, I used a cheap store-brand one from a big electronic chain from ~30 years ago. I wanted something between "cheap rubbish" and "high end" - as I didn't use it professionally I couldn't justify the price tag for the likes of Fluke or Keysight. Most brand...

PGM single game PCB assembly and troubleshooting

The description is in the first message of this thread, you need to build a special version of the program rom that includes the special bios from a stand-alone game. Yes, hold the test button for ~1s.

PGM single game PCB assembly and troubleshooting

The generic GAL needs to be configured with jumpers. If you don't plan to reconfigure the board for a different game you can use the specific one so you don't have to populate the jumpers. DDP uses the bios, so every time you boot the game you have to wait through the splash sequence. QB uses a...

    The Retro Mac Thread

I do actually have an SE as well... I plan to do some development using https://github.com/autc04/Retro68 , and maybe have a look if I can get one of the Terrible Fire designs adjusted for Mac/PDS slots. I like the carrying bag, totally forgot that this existed...

Not sure ... do you have an ethernet card?

Any PGM Conversion info out there?

Stuff like that used to be relatively common on some old 8 and 16 bit platforms to expand RAM - you piggy-backed new RAM onto the old, cut some traces and added some decoder logic dead-bug style to address it.

Any PGM Conversion info out there?

That would be a good idea in any case - though there is a good chance that the chips will be obsolete or chips left over from big manufacturers for other projects, like the weird chips in those 161-in-1 MVS carts.

Any PGM Conversion info out there?

I mean, I could fit only 2 of those, and that is with very little room for routing. And placing SMD on both sides of a PCB is another can of worms... Of course, I could proclaim "IT CAN'T BE DONE!" and count on someone to prove me wrong. :)

Any PGM Conversion info out there?

It is difficult to find the right balance of cost, size and assembly complexity. Nearly everything modern is only available as fine pitch SMD or even BGA, and I'm not sure how much could be fit into a DIP footprint. I briefly looked at...

Any PGM Conversion info out there?

Depends on how hardcore you are... the decoders should allow 8 A-Roms and 4 B-Roms, if you piggy-back them and use wires to select select them.

Eye of Typhoon: Remake (Beta) of Unfound Prototype

Just wondering, what does "support" for something like this looks like? Extra fpga support for banking/addressing modes, menu entries, reserved internal IDs? If someone develops some homebrew that works with one of the existing cartridge PCBs, is there anything required on top of following some...

I actually had to enter that the last few times I bought labels. Let's see if that improves the deliveries to Europe.
