    Universal monitor bracket for Vewlix

just replaced my 32mp58hq with the LG 32UN650-W (a reasonably priced LG 32 inch 4k ips! didn't even notice that it came out. skipping the oled for now :p), looks even better! very little screen door effect. hopefully someone comes up with a 4k scaling solution at some point, i'd love that...

    MiSTer FPGA

it's worth noting that freesync/gsync isn't required to run the game in single buffer mode (which is good because aside from lag, the stuttering is particularly noticeable in ddp), i've had luck with most lcd monitors I've owned supporting weird refresh rates but your mileage may vary. Freesync...

    Universal monitor bracket for Vewlix

maybe I'm just lucky (or just don't own anything that's that far out of whack). worst boards I have are Block Out at 57.4hz and TGM2 at 61.6hz and both have worked with every monitor i've tried minus one (the dell ultrasharp u2718q). granted, I've pretty much only went with LG displays since...

    Universal monitor bracket for Vewlix

the ossc doesn’t take advantage of variable refresh, the only benefit you get is that the pixel clock tends to be higher. most monitors can sync to a wide variety of signals without variable refresh support. not sure why it became such a meme for vewlix monitor replacements

New JAMMA Kit for Vewlix (and more!) - Universal JAMMA Interface

I'd be in for one if there are screw holes for mounting to standoffs. looks a bit too heavy to be comfortable leaving it all on the JAMMA edge. I'm not sure the JVS power harness even reaches far enough to get to the pcb on my cab. It would also be cool to see an MVS remap switch (move A to...

    Universal monitor bracket for Vewlix

Please explain, especially your last point. As far as I understand it, if your input signal is 60hz (at least over DVI/HDMI), the frame will always finish scanning at a minimum of ~16ms. While some displays scan faster (not all! I've owned a 144hz BenQ that scanned like a 60hz monitor when...

    Universal monitor bracket for Vewlix

the ossc definitely outputs 240p 4x as 960p. you may be thinking of the 5x behavior that outputs 1080p. it looks okay in my experience. it's honestly really hard to notice the interpolated lines/columns. Even when it's dialed in pixel perfect, I don't notice.

    Universal monitor bracket for Vewlix

since people are talking about input lag: I tested the 32mp58hq with a time sleuth and it adds about 2ms over a crt (iirc 9ms in the center which is where rtings measures afaik. remember that crts have 7-8ms lag when measured in the center!). it’s ridiculously good, probably better than all...

    Name for JVS2JAMMA board

@KingSopz try messing with the sync settings on the OSSC. I've had to change them for a couple of boards when run through the TSH. TGM2 needed the h.sync tolerance changed, Block Out needed PLL settings changed. Not sure what the CPS3's problem would be here.

    Name for JVS2JAMMA board

@invzim The TSH has been working great with the original Tetris The Grand Master (ZN2-based), that's the only other JAMMA board I own at the moment. I might try tuning the pre/post coast parameters in h/v mode, but I have doubts as to whether that will fix the display on the Vewlix monitor with...

Got mine yesterday. It works perfectly in my Vewlix

    Name for JVS2JAMMA board

I managed to find a problematic pcb when used with the tri-sync helper + OSSC. Tetris The Grand Master 2 Plus (which is weird on its own with a 61.68 hz sync) is making it do something weird with the sync: on c-sync mode the OSSC doesn't see any sync, on h/v mode it's showing a higher refresh...
