Sega Astro City shielded 3" speakers

@JordanStrasberg Not at all, actually. Went a completely different direction with the sub setup, as I randomly found one of these cheap at a thrift shop, then eBay-ed another similar model for the second cab. Having the headphone bypass was too convenient and these didn't fit well with...

Sega Astro City shielded 3" speakers

@JordanStrasberg I bought a set of 4 z5500 speakers to cover 2 cabs. I believe it was sold originally as a 5.1 system but all four speakers are equal from what I can tell. 2 went into each cabinet.

Is a Cheap supergun really that bad? I'm assuming yes lol

There is also this which I found recently: https://tucsonlogic.com I have one and only played around briefly so far, as my Naomi hasn't been working stable lately in general. From what I've seen tho, it seems to perform as advertised in standalone mode, which is to support digital controls for...

Starting a UMK3 arcade console supergun

Nice work. I haven't spent much time yet on tweaking OSSC profiles for Midway boards but I did find that @invzim Retro Scaler A1 plays well with MK2 & UMK3. I'm using it to line double the video for display on a VGA CRT along with video capture. I like that there's basically zero config needed...

    Retro Scaler A1

I do something similar, where I run the output of the A1 video signal simultaneously to a 31khz monitor in my cab and another to a capture device. In my case I use a powered VGA distribution device to handle this and would recommend the same if you're seeing signal degradation. Not a good idea...

    MiSTer FPGA

Hyper Fighting has had a long history of inaccurate emulation, both via software and fpga. It's been generally running too fast on tons of platforms as compared to CPS1. Even Capcom gets it wrong - load up stuff like the XBLA version or PSX SF2 collection and you'll see it poorly implemented...

Looking to buy a CRT EMUDRIVER/Groovymame PC setup

tbh I would also like to see a pre-configured PC offering ready to plug into a cab at 15Khz for Fightcade and offline play. It's something I want to have easily available because I really don't have the bandwidth to source parts and build it myself. I understand the urge to help OP and explain...

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

@Lallander not sure, but Guncon will probably work with other cores. I've heard of stuff like NES zapper being made to work outside of the NES core, so I'm assuming similar with other light gun solutions. I haven't tried it first hand yet so I can't speak on what it needed to make that happen...

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

Ah. I'm not aware of what's needed for Guncon 2 for MiSTer. Would imagine SNAX is part of it given the buttons on the gun but there's also the USB plug to consider. I believe that was necessary for native PS2 setup, right? All of it - USB, controller plug, composite video passthrough.

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

Set input to SNAC and that should be it. I just did this a few days ago with the remote. Super simple setup, set P1 input to SNAC and no other configuration needed. Guncon works fantastic with this setup. I'm very happy with the remote board V2 and now just waiting on a case.

Jasen’s Customs: CPS1 Multi Case Thread

For the folks who have done the full CPS1 case install, would this be the right pin headers to get to support the LED selector mount? https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/649-68021-214HLF Jasen's website mentions this is necessary but no link was in the CPS1 page to confirm. I found that one...

(Found) Hook up Consoles to Retro Scaler A1 (XRGB2+ vs A1 comparison pics)

@GhaleonUnlimited finally had a little bandwidth to do some testing. Here is a Midway board (MK2 in this case) operating on 31Khz via Retro Scaler A1: Did not think to tweak settings on the A1 and further, I didn't even have an SD card installed into the device as of yet. As you can tell, the...

Patience indeed. Just got my shipping notification. Pretty anxious to finally get this in for a test drive.

Likewise, no shipping info on my end either. Getting pretty jealous seeing others starting to receive their spinners and panels.

I don't understand how you're taking this kind of feedback personally. It's constructive criticism: maybe don't post on a public forum asking people to join a private chat room for information that is beneficial for the very people you wish to reach on that same public forum? Good luck on your...

(Found) Hook up Consoles to Retro Scaler A1 (XRGB2+ vs A1 comparison pics)

Anytime bro. Well aware of your work my friend, I really enjoyed the Seasons Beatings events and everything else you were involved in. Hope you've been doing well. I've actually never tried the A1 with Midway boards. I'll try to give it a shot soon with a few of mine and let you know how it...

(Found) Hook up Consoles to Retro Scaler A1 (XRGB2+ vs A1 comparison pics)

tbh I would stick with XRGB2+. I used mine years ago with a VGA CRT and loved the results. It's really versatile and I like that takes a lot of different input types, not just RGB. Plus there are ways to tweak the image, where you don't really have that kind of control with the A1. It just line...

(Found) Hook up Consoles to Retro Scaler A1 (XRGB2+ vs A1 comparison pics)

What is your intended use case? You mentioned consoles and it should still work fine in most applications but this device is primarily designed for a 15Khz arcade video signal. From first hand experience I can confirm this can work to take SCART RGB in and push HD15 out in a format that the...
