WTB: Vewlix Diamond Blue Top Panel Marquee (not the game marquee holder, the thing that says Vewlix)

I'm looking for the Vewlix top panel marquee thing for a diamond blue: I have a repro but it's not even transparent, so I'd really like to find an original.

    Nanao MS-2931

It seems unlikely that potting compound would become corrosive and conductive over time, considering it's an insulator, but who knows. I used one of the Chinese flybacks that dude from Spain on ebay resold for too much and it's still working fine. I didn't change any other components. That said...

    Control Panel Stand

I printed the wall mounts and had a hard time finding any panels that would actually work with them. Mahjong, Virtua Golf, Sega Baseball, Forgotten Worlds all just have too much stuff in the way. They did work for my Virtual On panels though. My other more normal panels like 2L12B ones work ok...

"THE ARCADE PCB CASE" --- CAPCOM CPS MULTI ---

No need to yell in bold. CPS1 has 3 banks of dipswitches. There is an add on kit to make them more readily accessible since the filter board and B board make them hard to reach. There's also an addon board for the CPS1 to have a CPS2 kick harness which extends past the filter board. It's hard...

    Arcade Ashtrays - 3D Model

Thanks for the info. I have a Prusa MK3s+. They want like $400 for their enclosure, but there's little tents on amazon for like $40. I mostly print with PET. Polymaker's PET is pretty nice. Maybe I'll just give it a shot and see what happens.

    Arcade Ashtrays - 3D Model

@West what printer and filament are you using for ABS? Are you using an enclosure? I've stayed away from ABS since people make it out to be this big problem that warps and smells, but the smoothed prints make me want to give it a try.

"THE ARCADE PCB CASE" --- CAPCOM CPS MULTI ---

Keeping the filter board attached is the only reason I've been looking for a case. The proposed design, as is, would only make the filter board more annoying to deal with by hiding it in a box. Couple that with no consideration for dip switches, the screen being inside, and the pots being harder...

Getting an original Vewlix, what do I need to know before taking the plunge

I'm not positive but I think that's one of the limitations of the UFB. I also don't think you can make a PS4 auto turn on when power is restored, like a PC.

Getting an original Vewlix, what do I need to know before taking the plunge

I don't think the UFB supports macros. https://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/06960737/ Also 1P start and 2P start would be on different controllers so pressing both and expecting them to work together wouldn't really make sense. I recommend searching for "vewlix extra buttons panel" I think...

Getting an original Vewlix, what do I need to know before taking the plunge

That's true. It's hard to gauge what's easy or hard for someone new to it. Taking one of these https://www.amazon.com/Brook-Fighting-20-pin-Joystick-Harness/dp/B083JX5H2B and running it straight to the stick and buttons is probably easiest if you never need to change it. I used to use test...

Getting an original Vewlix, what do I need to know before taking the plunge

I would go into a Vewlix with the expectation that you will need to replace the monitor, at least if its a 720p one. The 720p monitors are 768p native. I'm not sure if PS4 outputs 1360x768 or not. You can use a modern pc monitor for a replacement (most people go with something from LG but just...

    Vewlix F/Diamond Blue. Also Maaco.

As far as I know, the feet on the F are always brushed/polished. All I did was clean them up with a sponge as best I could. There's still some staining, I might try brasso or mag & aluminum polish as others have suggested. I agree red should be on the left. The problem is I have my pc in that...

    Vewlix F/Diamond Blue. Also Maaco.

Getting that panel was really the perfect last piece of the puzzle, thanks again. I had been using a 2p repro panel but I realized I never wanted to use the cabinet because the fit was so bad.

    Vewlix IO Mounting Plate

I printed the fixed reduced one and it came out good. I think the posts for the narrow board need to be closer together horizontally about half a mm. PET flexes enough to work but I'd like to eventually fix the model.

    Vewlix F/Diamond Blue. Also Maaco.

I picked up a Vewlix F about a year ago that had no marquee, side art, coin sticker, etc. I'm not sure why it was all missing. I started looking for a replacement marquee, and that was proving to be impossible. Eventually I found these repro Diamond style ones on Ali Express and decided to try...

    FOUND: ¥100 Coin Mechs

I ended up buying a lot of them for about $12 each. I'm hoping to get them all cleaned up and adjusted (only about half are working reliably out of the box) and will eventually list them for sale here.

Seimitsu Joystick Dust covers with no shaft cover?

Maybe there's an even newer revision of the LS-32 than the one I have. I can't say for sure if they're from before or after 2017. Edit: The LS-32-02's I have are from 2014.

Seimitsu Joystick Dust covers with no shaft cover?

I'm mostly talking shit but I think the LS-32 is a weird stick. It allows you to push the stick past the point of actuation, causing the spring to compress and the stick to lift up. It just feels weird. It's much more pronounced on the newer ones as far as I can tell. Ca. 2014 LS-32-02 w/ LS-32...

Seimitsu Joystick Dust covers with no shaft cover?

so it sounds like the short version is there's no source for the original dust washer for an ls-32 non shaft cover sold separately. where did your original ones go? imo the solution would be to not use an ls-32 because it's a bad stick. ;) would you be ok with something 3d printed?
